Here in the Silicon Valley, all the tech employees have stock from the tech companies they work at. So there can’t be a crash here because the tech workers would just sell their company stock to buy up homes in the Bay Area.

Thanks for sharing some insight out there. Yeah, by definition, I don’t see a “crash” happening in most metropolitan areas throughout the country but it makes for good headlines and views for the media

I agree with Jax. My neighborhood value has risen greatly, homes that sold less than $100,000, now are selling over $200,000 . great job mike and tara

Do we need the NAR? What happens if they went away or we left?

If we ask 10 different realtors, we'll likely get 10 different answers on this topic. In my opinion, if NAR went away - I believe there would inevitably be another organization created to establish uniform standards, best practices, etc. and operate very similarly to NAR. I don't think we *need* NAR, or at least not as much as NAR needs us, but because of the complexities of real estate and the asset class being one of the most expensive purchases available - there would be an entity or governing body that replaces NAR.
