I honestly think that team cipher is much more mild than other (evil team) but for they are like the good guys that hates the corruption of the government and wants change.
fan games and rom hacks (especially the latter) are usually awful. the plots have forced resolutions, and that's only if the creator remembered there was one. they are either boring or over the top, the writing is obnoxious and forced, there are unfair level curves at random, unlikable characters who are too one-dimensional, and even worse, inner monologues from the MC. 'this gym of mine' and the team rocket one are good examples. they were trash games with last-minute endings, cartoonishly evil, stupid, and violent characters, and there was no effort when it came to grammar and punctuation. it's one thing when it's an irrelevant youtube comment, but it's not excusable for a game. creators who make difficulty hacks aren't really fun unless you play competitively, which leaves out a _huge_ group of people*. the ones that are good are too short. game freak has never intended for pokemon to be this way. that's just the reality. they can't cater to every one person (especially all of their older fans who want features that only a very small niche of people will enjoy), and whether you like it or not, every mainline game that comes out is going to be made with newer fans in mind. i got my first pokemon game (yellow) in 1998, and it was difficult. the second game i played (blue) was so much easier because i was starting to understand the mechanics. the more generations that came out, the easier it became. it wasn't because the games suddenly got easier, it was because my cognitive abilities improved as i grew older. *like, radical red for example isn't a bad game, but i got so burnt out because i had to take so much time crafting a whole new team just to win any one important battle. even though i _could_ navigate my way through this stuff by taking several hours off my life to do all the reasearch, i didn't have time to actually enjoy it.
@@Om-sq7xg been working on this idea since Gen V without some of the updates but willing to update my idea. Imagine an island where Legendary Pokemon are plentiful but regular Pokemon are considered Legendary. Some mon also have evolutions. Double Battles always happen. And there is a dark secret to the evil Team. Don't want to give everything away. Only problem is I had an idea that would take players to the five other regions (Gen V) but I don't think a fan game can handle that much data.
