The US/ARVN packs were very popular because it's designed for the right amount of weight for a patrol and were often used by US forces , the tropical jungle rucksack took a while to be dispersed and with the frame was heavier . This same style pack was O.D. green in Vietnam.
love the camo, i recently sold a uniform with similar camo that i had no info on except for French tags, but it wasn't French either. The camo looks very similar, might have been Burkina Faso
Thanks for the comment. African military has some unique camo that we don't see often. Also, I have some Spec Ops bags and pouches. I think they are very good.
Everhard reading plan every chapter checklist. This helps keep track even if you jump all over the Bible. drive.google.com/file/d/0B__wL9T6X1mXM1FtWERBYnBSOWtKei03bDRNbXlIYTZYMmpJ/view?pli=1&resourcekey=0-vtYIb_f_oq3a-YKYdwkMdw
@@antman29able I was very tempted as the condition was nearly new. However a 60 litre capacity is a little too big for me these days. Decided on a Crib Gogh Constrictor..to compliment the Blackhawk 3 dap I already own. Kind regards
Thanks for this video. I must've seen four or five White Hunter videos before this, and never realised how...um...petite the blade is. I had always assumed it was a huge great thing, like an MoD survival knife. It was very interesting to see how the design of the sheath has changed over the years, too, as well as to learn howtfully the packaging conceals the fact that modern Puma knives are sonetimes made in Spain, then shipoed to Germany for assembly.
i got a pair and they do take time to break in and that is because of the leather not the fact that it is a minimalist boot . put them on for a hour or two everyday and then take them off. the back of the foot is what will be the biggest hurdle to overcome. I can say after doing this for about a month or so wearing them almost everyday, they feel so much better and my feet can spread versus other boots that the military thinks is best.
That is a BK-10 LE and is a very rare limited edition that was released without the black coating and a green sheath. It's worth much more a new BK-10. I ground off the ramp on my BK-10 and cut in new gimping along the now-straight edge like on your Schrade and I prefer the way it handles now.
Waiting mine to arrive ❤ Typically we use parang since its in Malaysia, But wanna try out the “parang” from other parts of the world 🌎 plus it’s American made
excellent video friend! I have exactly the same one and I bought it 12 years ago. It has been used... it has been with me on courses such as special operations, hiking trips and even traveled abroad with colleagues, always coming back dirty... but healthy hahaha so I can say that it is one of the best resistance backpacks I have ever known
Thanks for the comment. I haven't used mine much yet but it is comfortable to wear. Do you know what the BTS Blackhawk tactical system pouches are? I have not found ant information on these pouches. Also, do you know how the loops on the back of the pack were used? Actually, there is very little information about these packs or the X1 pack.
Wow dont let go of that one they are very rare now. I absolutely love that knife , wish i could find an older one like that , very cool. The bk10 is one ive wanted for many years , still on my wish list .
@antman29able The stamped BK knives are really hard to find especially in such good shape. Kabar stuff is really collectible in the U.S . I remember watching vids from 10+ years ago with people sharing their stamped Becker blades ..Yeah its a keeper... I believe the original bk10 was made by Camullis, they are super rare .
@@Airik1111bibles I think this is a Camullis knife. I have used it a little bit and it works well for a large knife. I had a bk9 some years ago but didn't really like it even thought it is a highly regarded knife. I have a bk 24 which is a good knife.
Under the large pack flap, your helmet sits quite snug on top of your kit. Button down the flap, and the helmet stays nicely in place, held down by tension of a strap over the outside, either side of the dome.
The vintage White Hunter has stag handles and "Das Auto/car Messer" has always wooden handles. Puma offered a special plastic sheath for Das Auto Messer to be mounted in the car to give good acces to the knife in emergency situations. Both great knives 👍
As a kid in the 70's there was the children's TV series by Eddie McGee [no doubt called 'No need to die' though I can't remember] .The No need to die book was my first Survival/bushcraft book, not that I found it as useful as any Ray Mears or Mors Kohanski book.
@@antman29able The reason I looked up Eddie McGee on RU-vid, [hoping there would be clips from his kids show] was because I just came across a documentary on UK channel 4 about a case in 1982 when a guy went on the rampage in a heavily wooded area of Yorkshire, shot 4, killing 2 Policemen and a civilian dead. Eddie volunteered his tracking services and was told to get lost! Thankfully they employed his services, long story short, he tracked them to the guys hide [he shot himself rather than do time]. Police had spent days trying to track him down, said he was an expert in the woods! Turns out, he'd been trained by Eddie McGee!
Stay alive with Eddie McGee was a series and the books even on Amazon , the early 80s tv series , I think it was survival with Eddie McGee, Eddie's son runs a course up near nidderdale in Yorkshire I believe which is where Eddie lived I believe , I had his " no need to die" book in around 1984 when I was around 16 years of age
@@johnthomas-vy3th His son is a world renowned expert on Tracking,, he has often appeared in the U.K. Bushcraft magazine. Eddies TV series was shown in the 70's, as remember watching it after school, may have been repeated later, would be great to see it now though.
Australian government is even creepier and more ridiculous than the U.K. government. I'm surprised they don't come after you for importing "military gear"
Antman. Hope you are doing great! I have owned these backpacks for years. Can you picture having to put this packframe into about a 100 of these packs! Lol. Take care brother.
Thanks for the comment. Yes, i still use my spec ops gear. The backpacks are very good. Good size, not too big and not too small and very well made. I have submitted suggestions for other items such as a large T.H.E. pack and a duffel bag, also a series of bags in lighter nylon. Maybe one day the company will release some new items.
I just inherited one and can't wait to use it. Seems very well made. I am missing the cooking ring, but it should not be too hard to make one. Certainly a very useful thing for camping or any emergency. Very little wood needed too, I hear. Cheers
The best way to use is as a drop in organizer. Turn it inside out, zip it shut and drop in as shown. The outside is now 2 big pockets. I've been using their products over 20 years.
Thanks for the comment. Yes, I think the Spec Ops products are great. I have been thinking of getting a RFID wallet and a knife sheath. I would like to see them make some new products. In the past i have emailed them with some suggestions.
Thanks for the comment. Between these boots and the merrells I have some good footwear. Still unvaxxed? I assume you are a follower of Jesus? Take care
I haven't heard of Diadem before. I have been meaning to get a new bible for a while but can never decide which one. I have been using the NKJV. Do you have a version preference?
Ooof dang man sorry to tell ya these are fake not because of the quality but as you can see yours have a metal brace to hold the strap belt the real oakleys don’t have a metal brace Buckel
