I have sciatica pain for many years . Relieve pain by many things hot shower stretching back support . Newest and one of the best is a muscle rolling device bought at Walmart for $20 . I roll it all along my sciatica from my hip to all down my leg . Reduces pain instantly . Also juice purple cabbage reduces must’ve stiffness .

@@KamalamRathinasamy Is the affected leg and sciatica changed by movement? i.e…going up/down stairs, laying down, sitting or walking? There are different things you can do for some relief depending on the answer to that question. However, getting to the root cause of the problem is the only way to alleviate it for good. Julie Larson Ice, foam rolling along the low back and affected leg, and limiting flexion/extension type exercises in a workout can also aid in relieving sciatic pain.
I know your pain. Best thing is to start with a little walk in the neighborhood. It might be VERY slow at first, but the pain will diminish soon and you will walk with more ease. I also find the leg swings (in various directions) are extremely useful. You can also try putting a hot water bottle on the area when you lie down or relax on the couch. Heat works better than ice for this sort of pain. Gentle movement is the best remedy of all.
I would agree...going on vacation and missing our weekly appointment, is very noticeable in how you feel. Love the Family First staff. Thank you for keeping us healthy!
