The worst is when you start getting close to the line up, and then you see everyone start paddling like crazy away from you meaning theres a huge clean up set coming in haha
Actually I think it is probably one of the strongest parts of that coastline - all those boulders were brought in to protect that ramp and are harder than the surrounding sediments. However, time will tell!
reminds me of being swept from a Bells paddle out to a Winkipop Button and then a bit further. Why would you not mention the break? ...No secrets these days

For a start it's not massive. Looks like he paddled out from bells without watching the set coming from out off Southside then tried to cut across to winki without paddling far enough out and around. Held onto board so he wouldn't end up on winki button. In experience poor decisions. Lucky the other guys didn't have to fish him out. Probably should have never been out in that swell.
No worries - looks like this one is back popping up in the feed - a few heros naming it but I'm still around to delete those.. This was actually taken in winter 2008..
Hey, thanks for that - being cooped up inside all day with the kids meant that the moth light at night was a great escape, and perhaps the lack of sleep had driven me a little crazy. Whatever the reasons, I was inspired to make this joke vid, so I'm glad you liked it!
Dude - you're supposed to watch for at least a half hour on a day of this size and consistency, time the sets, wait for a lull, and launch right after the last wave of the set.
