Binge listening to your music all spooky season! 👻I'm so excited to see you in concert this month (and for the second time this year actually). You're my favorite artist and your music inspires my creative process and art so much!
Honestly this song would be perfect for like a cinematic about like a mobster trying to help people but obviously having to follow orders and be a killer to survive
She found me forty years from now A shadow of myself Her youth was black mascara And red wine We talked for hours Of how I thought I'd seen her somewhere else And she was there beside me when I died What's the point in counting When a minute is a year Every lover has their time Every lover has their time What's the point in waiting When you're gone Before you're here Every lover has their time Every lover has their time She found me seven years ago In some piano bar She told me I'd be paramount some day She smiled the kind of smile That builds a fire in the dark She bought my gin And then she slipped away What's the point in counting When a minute is a year Every lover has their time Every lover has their time What's the point in waiting When you're gone Before you're here Every lover has their time Every lover has their time She found me twenty years ago Outside my father's church A little boy who fell and scraped his knee She told me I was beautiful And took away my hurt And said that she'd forever wait for me What's the point in counting When a minute is a year Every lover has their time Every lover has their time What's the point in waiting When you're gone Before you're here Every lover has their time Every lover has their time She found me any minute now I've waited far too long This rocking chair Is wearing through the floor She'll cry beside herself To know I've written her this song And be pleased That it's in mostly major chords What's the point in counting When a minute is a year Every lover has their time Every lover has their time What's the point in waiting When you're gone Before you're here Every lover has their time Every lover has their time
I keep waiting for a disappointment from this absolute gentleman. It never comes. I got my eye on you Mr James. 🔎 I will find the crack one day. And then I will prove to the world you are only 90% better than all the artists out there! You just wait.
I remember I first found your music when I was ten, I’m an adult now and you’re still my favourite singer, seeing how your music has progressed is amazing and I cant wait to see what youll do next, love from England hope I’ll catch you on tour sometime, Godspeed ❤️🙏
2:17 I like this part where the voice says “and there is nothing you can hide” with such desperation and aggression, and the video of the guy ‘saying’ it is completely calm and smiling.
I'm playing a TTRPG called Dolmenwood, my character is a goth goat man and an outlaw. His love interest is a fence for the thieves guild. Anyway I decided this is their theme song, just thought you should know.
I love this music video so much. Been on a Shayfer James kick lately - imagine my delight to learn he's playing with Will Wood in my city a few months from now!! ...and then my disappointment to learn they're sold out already. It's been an emotional rollercoaster today, but all in all happy to see two awesome musicians get some well deserved recognition.
There are no supreme saviors Neither God, nor Caesar, nor tribune. Producers, let us save ourselves Decree on the common welfare That the thief return his plunder, That the spirit be pulled from its prison Let us fan the forge ourselves Strike the iron while it is hot
can i just say that, every single song, grows on me, no matter my first perception of it, but much more when in the case of this dude, Shayfer, you are deserving of so much more praise and popularity then what you have, your songs just have such gravitas and such Attitude, my gods, keep being groovy as hell, and giving those sweet sweet villain vibes that i adore so
I absolutely love all of your music! It brings a certain vibe that no other artist can even come close to encapsulating. Have you ever done any big bad jazz/blues? Your voice would be impeccable for something like that!
I love this song sooo much. Its lesser known but it's truly wonderful and catchy! Some may not like the morbidity but thats part of the charm! I mean, what'd people expect from a song about death and the ferryman? Its so goood.
