48:10 could have played elf, activated nix and then played troll. Amalia is an atrocious matchup so didn't end up mattering. Love the pioneer content tysm. <3
Curious if expressive iteration over manamorphose might work? Gives you sorcery and card selection, and casting off it triggers amulet? For energy producer, what about Gondi machination, if you were willing to go black? Appreciate these are different directions for the deck.
Expressive Iteration is probably not worth the splash. Blue is just so weak in terms of what it adds to the shell. However, EI itself is very powerful, and I could be wrong. Preordain just doesn't do it for me, and I don't like splashing for just one card.
I believe Nadu is going to get banned for tournament logistics. It’s going to be a nightmare to keep track of in real life. It’s also going to eat up time spinning its wheels like Eggs and KCI before it.
They tested it as much as they tested Oko 'the strength of its +1 as "a defensive ability to remove other creatures and artifacts" was underestimated. This seems to suggest that Wizards was primarily focused on using Oko's +1 to turn its owner's own creatures and artifacts into elks, rather than using it is a tool to control the opposing side of the board.' LOL they simply can't identify how to abuse the completely insane cards they design themselves 😂
This was happening a lot when spike was playing the deck but I don’t think you can afford to keep one landers. Even with a surveil and being on the draw it’s only a roughly 60% chance to hit the second land. 40% chance to basically lose the game on the spot is not acceptable.
During that last turn against Burn in Game 3, couldn't you have won if you just attacked with Voidwalker instead of holding it back? You were both at 5, they'd go to 2 and be locked out of spells and they didn't have lethal between their two creatures.
You should just play bonecrusher over Liliana. It’s removal + a body and it works with energy dinosaur where you can both sides it. (If I understand it correctly) Plus it lets you push damage through ring. And you get jegantha. It’s not hyper efficient but it does do everything imo.
Hello! I have an unusual request. My husband is a big fan of your pioneer videos. He’s turning 30 this July and I was thinking how can I surprise him. I wanted to ask you to make a short video where you say a couple of words to celebrate him. I totally understand if you refuse, that’s ok! But if you are agree I would be happy. Thank you for any answer ahead
I fond vaultborn tyrant is great run for end game to keep your health up against decks that drain from noncombat damage, as well as draw on power 4 creatures ive managed better with vaultborn tyrant in my deck, but i play more heavy mana running leyline and run endgame with ulamog to change the game, i have once turn 3 into ulamog with opening featuring 2 leyline ulamog, 2 mana dork elves, kiora and a nyxthos
I'm seeing some lists playing might stone & meek stone as MD flex removal. Am I wrong in thinking that Leyline Binding is the better card in that flex slot?
A couple of copies of Castle Garenbrig are nice when you have creatures that have ablilities like Polukranos, Oddity and even Rhonas. Also maybe Werewolf Packleader instead of Rookie?
I would rather play a permanent that does something similar. Traditional builds of MonoG lean heavy on permanents for Nykthos, and I think that's still correct to do so.
Maybe -2 rookie -4 hyrda. +1 oath +1 oddedy +3 polukranos reborn for extra mana sink? +1 bosiju ? I don't entirely agree with storm without karn but if it works it works. Maybe even one One ronas the indomitable could be worth testing?
I'm new to non-commander formats, but I'm curious why Relic's Roar is never played in this type of deck. Feels like it fits well with your goal and being low to the ground is very helpful.
