I’m in Canada and had a buddy duck hunting with me on a river near my area. Around 9am we heard a truck in the field at the top of the river bank pull up, and head a door open and close, after a minute we heard a guy yell “hey where are you”. I yelled back “right here” he came down the bank and started yelling at us about not asking for permission to hunt there. I said we’re anchored in the river, it’s not private property and his property stops at the top of the river bank anyway! He then switched to “well it’s a courtesy to ask when you’re hunting so close to a house” I pull my measure lane app up on my phone and showed him is house is over 500 yards away and the wind was blowing from his house to where we were. He tried to tell if we didn’t let him know when we’d be hunting he’d call the police about it, i said go ahead and you’ll be charged with interfering will legal and lawful hunting. We never saw him again.
