IG: @andrewshin02 Hi there! My name is Andrew, also known as OllehRebelz. I made this channel back in 2015 to upload random videos I wanted to make, but nowadays I upload vlogs showing my life at NYU (still sprinkling a few random videos here and there). For those of you interested in my New York/NYU life, subscribe to the channel! Thanks for reading!
Congratulations on Graduating!! I have really enjoyed your videos over the years. One of the videos you made, where you explained why you chose NYU , I watched it 2 years ago which helped me pick a school before moving across the world even though it was a different field. Hoping you the best in your future!
Congtratulations!!! I used to watch your videos a lot a couple years ago, and now, seeing this one, I realize how time has flown by so quickly! Makes me so sad somehow...
This is so melancholic. As my college experience starts, for others it ends. Best of luck with everything you do in the future. Never lose your creative spark!
Congrats i started watching you when my son got into stern . In the end he chose an other uni but have been following you still past 3 years. Cant believe you have graduated. All the best for the next leg in your life journey
Congratulations! I'm from Poland and I found your channel by accident during the pandemic. Since then, I have been following your activities from time to time. It's nice to watch you develop as a person, becoming more and more independent and self-confident. You are finishing a certain stage, but the best is yet to come, as BTS sang. I wish you all the best🎉❤
Congratulations! I also graduated this May and have been watching your channel since the beginning. I was kinda bummed when you stopped vlogging but I get it, you had to enjoy the moment. Just keep vlogging: a day in my life in the corporate world; hot tourist places to visit in Korea; my first apartment; etc. just vlog in the moment but also don’t forget to enjoy it either. Can’t wait to see you grow in the next chapters of your life. 🤙👍
I love learning Korean. The language and its history is fascinating. When you learn a language it should always include customs, culture and history to fully understand what you are learning Thank you for this wonderful video
One of double consonants at the end of the syllable always gets silent unless you have ㅇ in the next syllable. 얇게 >> 얄게(ㅂ dropped) >> 얄께 (ㄱ changes to ㄲ by 경음화) 닭을 >> 달글(연음} 앉다 >> 안다 (ㅈ dropped) >> 안따 (ㄷ changes to ㄸ by 경음화) 읊다 >> 읖다 (ㄹ dropped) >> 읍다(ㅍ cannot be pronounced at the last part of the syllable, gets changed to ㅂ) >> 읍따 (ㄷ changes to ㄸ by 경음화) This is the rule, not the exception.
Korean is not all that easy to read as we natives think it is. You need to know the general rules like (ㅂ, ㄷ, ㄱ becomes ㅁ, ㄴ, ㅇ if it is placed before nasal consonants, as in 국물 (actually pronounced 궁물)) Yes, it is easier than english, but that doenst make it "easy"
When your favorite k-novel stops translations so you start learning korean on and off just to realize YOU DON'T UNDERSTAND WHAT THE HELL YOU'RE READING
On 12/9/19 I Slamed My Hand Into The Kitchen Closet Door And I Cried And Screamed So loudly Because It Really Really Hurt And Mom Was Really UPSET!!!!!
"다람쥐 헌 쳇바퀴에 타고파" seems to be the most famous Korean pangram I can find. (Means "The squirrel wants to ride on the old treadwheel.") It uses all 14 consonants in Korean but not all 10 vowels. There are other pangrams that use all 10 vowels and the double consonants.
The stone in your ring is a lab ruby. Jostens 'simulated' stones are either lab corundum (ruby and sapphire) or lab spinel. I still have my Jostens ring from the 70s. It has the 'garnet' stone in a smooth cut. It has no scratches though I have worn it for going on 47 years
Something interesting is that the dot you mentioned at the end is still used in the language spoken on Jeju island (i say language not dialect because its mutually unintelligible with Korean dialects) and sounds something like "au"
