aka vlogging with a 2000s canon camera
i decided to use a camera made in the 2000s for this video. why? i love the old effect that the video has... because it's genuine old footage and not filtered in any sort of way. plus, i had basically never used it to record a long video (Olleh Replay being a small exception, but even then, I didn't record any audio). and i thought visiting a relatively calming place in NYC would be perfect for using this old camera. so this video is for all of you who like retro-themed videos and love blasts to the past, or just calming vlogs with no music.
i don't know if I'm going to be making another vlog where i exclusively use the old camera again (I thought of this as a one-off thing really), but I'm obviously open to doing it again. it could be in different cool environments, i guess (srsly, liminal spaces would look so cool with this thing). it was super cool just walking around the city with this camera in my hand; some people seemed to find it amusing lol
again, just as a reminder, this footage isn't filtered with an old effect-it is raw footage as it is. you basically can't get rawer than this tbh. there's no music either so you can fully hear the audio that the camera picks up
