GameLeap Deadlock is the home of all things Deadlock, Valve's ambitious shooter looking to redefine the genre with a MOBA-shooter hybrid experience. We'll be covering hero guides, item build analyses, pro tips, and more to give you the edge against your ranked competition in Deadlock!
I think he puts surge of power on power surge because he wants the move speed when he's chasing with the extra damage. Putting it on the balls might cause it to be on cooldown when he needs it since you're going to be throwing balls constantly.
I think Rapid Recharge over Superior Cooldown for the slot efficiency. Getting Superior Cooldown is one less mystic slot for him, and he doesn't particularly need the cooldown reduction on his other spells.
I think one of the main reasons he puts Surge of Power on Power Surge is due to it being the cheapest way to increase the duration of it. Power Surge really wants raw spirit power to support it, since it scales both the damage and duration, and hitting a high uptime on the move is big. The Ball is good to make people dodge and take some damage, but it's just not as reliable in fights, and is really just a cheap way to farm up. But the real reason is cause they share the same words in the name.
Absolutely the best video I've seen in this space. Deadlock is so new, and people are just running around like toddlers chasing soccer balls. Great advice in this video. Keep it up my boi!
Your audio needs some attention mate. There isn't an "echo", but you've got a lot of reverb/distortion in your audio. Idk if your room is dampened properly, or if your mic needs a filter over it - maybe it's just a pitch of voice you use, or the way you project your voice, but giving your audio the attention it deserves will greatly improve your engagement. You might be able to just tune the audio down a few dBs in your editing process maybe? It's soooo tinny.
Need this, I've been getting tilted off the face of the earth lately. I need to focus on improvement not winning. I had 55%wr but lost almost all of my last 20 games and it's brought me down to 50. I just find it so easy to get my mentality ruined and so hard to reset from it. When I first started I didn't care because it was a new game but now I'm starting to take it too seriously. Muting has helped alot because people have started getting more toxic but when I mute as soon as they start showing signs now and it's helped alot
I can play like one game a day lol I sat at my pc for like 1 hour today doing nothing before I finally queue'd and my lane partner got walled by McGinnis then slept by haze died typed "gg" and started walking around breaking boxes at 2 minutes into the game.
After playing LoL and CS for over a decade, and reaching the highest rank in both, I've learned the following things: 1. The objective is to win, but the goal should always be to improve. 2. Don't focus on your rank, focus on getting better, since your rank is simply an indicator of how good you are consistently. 3. The way to become really good is by mastering the basics (the "little, boring things," not the flashy stuff-prioritize substance over glamor). 4. Be as good of a teammate as you possibly can be and have a positive attitude. 5. Play every day (every day you play the game you get better and learn things, whether you win or lose, but if you play on and off you lose the majority of the progress you've made by not playing the game for a couple of days. If you play every day you create a compound effect, which is crucial-it means that your progress will be exponential). 6. Be comfortable being uncomfortable (when learning new concepts or mechanics, you will suck at first and that's okay, the only way to improve is to keep doing it, don't allow the initial discomfort to prevent you from learning/mastering what needs to be learned/mastered). 7. If you want to become really good and reach the highest rank you need to be serious about the game and play a lot, I mean A LOT, if you're not willing to do that that's perfectly fine, just don't expect to reach the highest rank(s), because people you are competing against in the highest ranks are grinding while you're not, so they will naturally pass you by-you either keep up with the tide or you get drowned, there are no two ways about it. Great content Speed and good luck to everyone in the ranked jungle!
First minute of video "youre going to lose" srry buddy not me im different ggs next video. Jk people lose their cool soo fast in games in general. So tons of amazing advice in this.
Ok so I'm telling on myself but I can get toxic. THE MUTE FUNCTION EXISTS, and i use it often. But the amount of people who would rather engage with toxic people and tell them to shut up RATHER than jsut mute them. Report systems wouldn't need to exist if people took authority over their own ability to just shut off the person they don't wanna listen to. It's so dumb to me that chat bans exist in games when mute functions exist.
Good stuff, bro. Keep up the good work. Used to watch your vids when I played Dota2 back in the day and it's nostalgic to see you over here in the deadlock world
I do find it kinda funny how you say nobody buys those anti heal items. I gues that's some low mmr stuff? I always have atleast 1 in my build and I see plenty of enemies using them aswell, it's more rare to see someone not use any of them.
This is an item coming from Dota2( called Magic Wand), at least in Dota u usually buy it when you are laning against a hero that spam abilities and have to cast it in line of sight to get the charge. Not sure if is really worth to get it on Deadlock unless you are playing the 2 middle lanes and rotate/gank between them
Wouldn’t paradox be a good candidate for poke build ? She plays sniper long range with increased bullet speed, pokes around get them low while getting more HP before committing with ult and ez finish
quicksilver reload gives even more heal for mo&krill than mystic burst if you put it on scorn, very worth first buy in lane as it ups your healing by more than double
You don't like McGinnis as a healer ? I like to get majestic leap and healing nova on her, and support everyone around the map. I also like to keep a slot for curse or knocdown, and heroic aura for the turrets. It's a shame to be limited at 4 active items
You should rrly check out siphon bullets on ivy. It works great with her gun and stone form cuz it heals you for 37% max hp at lvl 5 with healing booster.
Problem with poke build and the reason I don't think it'll take is because it is VERY easy to reset and VERY easy to push towers in this game. It just doesn't really feel designed for a long fight
I personally also use a barrier build on wraith as well as using shadow weave and veil walker. Sounds like a lot for this concept but the point is to upkeep the shields as much as possible, weave into fights, rip a hero or two in half and then get out.
Was really suprised that you didnt mention dynamo for the support build. He can really be played for the heal abilitie and with buying spirit power you even boost it. Besides his broken kit anyways
