I am Indian and I have lived in Sri Lanka for 3 years during service. It is indeed a very good place to live. I had no. of locals as friends. Good Experience. And mind you at the peak of the Civil War, between 1998 and 2001.
Sri Lanka Is Beautiful Gorgeous And Stunning...A Place Like No Other....Yes For Foreigners Its A Spectacular Place To Live🌻🌈💛...But Not For The Locals... Sri Lankan Food Its Not At All Like Indian Food🤨...Thats Wrong Information... Totally Way So Much Different... Probably You Will Find Indian Food In The Tamil Restaurants In Sri Lanka... Appreciate For Sharing 🤍🕊️🇱🇰....
Iv lived in sri lanka in retirement, for 1 year, I LOVE it. Iv tried Unawatuna, Hikkaduwa, Marissa, in the south, but for me it's a bit commercialized. I now live in Nilavellì, near Trincomalee, it's really great. I lived in Goa india for 5 years through Covid. But now iv found Sri Lanka, im settled. It's cheap, not as cheap as Vietnam, cambodia, or Laos, but it's so safe here. If you are thinking of retiring, you should look at sri lanka, and hopefully like me you'll love it. Visas are the easiest i have come across, you can get 1,2,5,10 year visas online no interviews, 2 year costs $300, you have to leave every 180 days, just to get a stamp in your passport. But the best thing is the people, it's known as the " Land of the big Smiles", it has something for everyone, come and see, you'll not regret it! If you want to contact me, please do, I dont know everything but what I do, IL share.
Super food, super people ,great place to retire. Ensure you have a decent passive income.Private healthcare is ok,but get health insurance that allows you to get treatment in India and Singapore.
Sri Lankans never really appreciate their own country which is utterly sad and disgusting to see. Of course, politics have ruined the Economy, but that's the same in many countries in the world , plus taxes are absurdly high everywhere. But Some Sri Lankans pretend that they're better off overseas, they pay exorbitantly high taxes, lives huddled up in shacks, and work all day and night to earn some kind of living. Its only our Economy that needs to work,. Other that the stupid decisions and corruption by politicians, this Country SRI LANKA is one of the Best and of the Most Beautiful countries in this world. From Environment , Weather, Beaches, Sand, Hospitality, Amazing Food, to Exotic destinations in this Beautiful Island, there is nothing to compare. Hoping that our own Sri Lankans can realize that.
China is still very affordable place to live. It is very safe, and transportation is very efficient. I just visited 6 different cities in China, all very beautiful in it’s own ways. We are in Shanghai now, flying back to US in few days. I may consider stay in China part time.
People see the beach, friendly locals -who of course hope to make money from tourists, fair enough-and think its paradise. Ask locals if they think they are living in paradise-I have -and you will get some informative answers.Videos like this give a false impression of what its really like.
u should say somethink about how to get visa -if we need visa to live there. how to buy a prperty-if we can buy property ....and some other ususfull information. and not about good food and that stupidity.
And against: filthy rubbish abounds, loudspeaker noise, wandering dogs at night too, terrible drivers with no respect for cyclists and pedestrians, poor quality are, extremely HOT climate, even at night, mostly mediocre landscapes, scams by travel agents, officials, etc.
Singapore efficiency is at another level. This is what happened this morning. 7:30 a.m. I received a text message from building management saying that our condo elevator broke down. At 8:05 a.m another message saying that it is being repaired by technicians. At 8:35 a.m I received another message with a smiley face that says the elevator is ready for your use and have a wonderful day. No fingerprints or stains on the doors, back glass wall and trash in the elevator. All looked as good as new. Who can beat that!
Brilliant work already sharing Your straight to the point And very explanatory Not the yuppies saying look at me, as soon as that happens there thrown of my Utube viewing
Taipei for relocating with the Chinese invasion threat always on the horizon, and housing prices among the most expensive in the world, with noise and air pollution? I can see for very short term stay, but too many risks for a long term.
Expensive every one wants USA dollars 💵 spend lots of money on my 1 month trip the girls 👭 are money hungry for your dollars very fake people, the Phillipines is better the people are nicer !
In other words, no half naked, obese, tattooed out, loudmouth, "I can do anything a man can" females! Sounds like a wonderful place. I never cared for partying ever and I don't drink.
It's nice that you're committed to Cambodia, I was over there for ten days, but I didn't get to know anything about the Cambodia you write about so caringly and joyfully, unfortunately. I traveled by motorbike and also walked a lot. no legal system on the streets, life-threatening as a pedestrian. okay with friendly photos and reports, I also make Afghanistan a holiday paradise.
Thanks for the beautiful video about my country. Its a shame that politicians has destroyed my country and made us leave the country. Politicians have no vision for the development of the country. Idiotic decisions has made the country bankrupt. Whole 2022 has been very challenging with frequent power cuts, import restrictions, long queues to pump fuel. Still fuel is given on a quota basis. Even if you have money, things you can buy are limited. Most of the drivers are reckless, dont obey the traffic laws. Even in this video you will see a cab is overtaking a vehicle @12:15 wrongfully. Its a serious traffic offense.! Those things are pretty common. Hope my country will make a turnaround at least in about 10 years, and will be a much better place to retire! Until such time I personally have no intention of going back there, sadly!
Have to agree with what you said esp.about the drivers-buses seem to be driven by maniacs and 3 wheelers are also a menace. I was in SL a year ago, first time since 2019,and could feel things were not good, talking to local people confirmed this..I was offered drugs,sex-men or women-was difficult to relax on the beach as someone would arrive looking to sell something or just ask for money. After a while I felt like a walking ATM. None of the above happened on previous visits-7 in total-so clearly the current econ.situation is dire. Beware of videos offering paradise-do some research into the econ./pol.situation if you are thinking of relocating.
Vietnam should not be on the list now. It doesn't have a retirement visa, so unless you want to get a business visa, you're going to have to do a monthly Visa run. I like that you can keep extending your initial 30-day tourist visa to 3 years in the Philippines. A visa run resets your clock, and you can do this over and over again.
