How does turning down the PC settings in the sim ,have anything to do with how VR is going to perform?One is for running on a monitor , the other is for VR use.
My best guess is that there is some rendering going in the background for PC mode. I found out that lowering the PC graphics settings, improved my VR performance. When you have both in high settings and you switch from VR to PC, the sim already is in this high graphics mode with everything rendered. That seems to me that some rendering is taking place while in VR. I might be wrong, but my performance improved and all I want is a smooth VR experience. Cheers and thanks for the question.
O wow o wow, man, I also have a 4090 and an Intel Core i9 10900k and was dumbfounded how the standard settings just did not work, what with terrible judders, hiccups and jumping frames, the worst, after your steps I have taken, even without the open xr tool, all the bull is 99 per cent gone, smooth, steady framerate, even if sometimes low in the mountains and around towns is just consistent, no stutter 99 per cent of the time, thank you so much, also, the textures seem sharper and more complete, man you're a true Da Vinci of modern VR. The doors can't be opened, but maybe they can in msfs2024. I used a payed program Axis and Ohs to assign a button on my yoke to the water drop button. There is no assignment for that button in the 2020 sim.
Enjoyed the flight. Looking into this, but not sure I want to be paying 20 or 30 a month for the service. I do have Beyond ATC, but unfortunately, it has no VFR capability, yet. It's on their development roadmap, though. I see this vid came out 8 months ago. Did SI ever start including coverage to Europe, and UK? Thanks for the video. :)
The whole world is covered by SI. VFR, IFR, helicopters, tourguides, cabincrews and mentors. I’ll make a new video and cover all the things they offer.
How you do that the VR on Monitor? When i Start the VR in the FS 2020 i become the left and the right side on the Monitor. I need that view who you have. I have the same Reverb
I stopped using VR when i realised i could get a solid 60fps with no stutters with Lossless scaling frame gen lol its all i use now because i fly helicopters and 60fps is amazing for stunt flying and crazy spot landings in my Huey 😂 i dont think i would trade it for 25-32fps in VR ... lower than 50 in a headset makes me feel horrible 😫 lol i hate it... although 3D is obviously better!! My headset just sits with a tshirt covering to prevent it getting dusty while i totally dont use it anymore haha
I noticed that you also use the All In One Tablet. Which one do you like best? I was thinking of getting the tablet, but I like that with FSDesktop I can integrate BeyondATC.
Thank you for your help! I also use BeyondATC, but I wasn’t aware that there was a toolbar available for viewing instructions from ATC. Since I currently have the basic version, it looks like I’ll need to consider upgrading, especially since it seems worth it. Additionally, I’ve been thinking about getting a tablet EFB. Have you noticed any impact on FPS with these additions? Your insights would be greatly appreciated!
My mouse does not work on the BATC panel in VR. I have tried everything that I know of to correct this. I am in the windows mode. In VR the panel comes into the sim, but my mouse will not work on the panel and when I click on the panel another BATC panel pops up momentarily and disappears. I don't know what I am doing wrong.
@@Virtusim Thank you for the quick response. I don't know how to put it in legacy mode. I don't know what mode I am in. Additionally I have the same headset that you have and can not use my mic in that headset.
Everything else works fine with BATC except in VR Mode. Additionally I thinks I may have to make my FSMS screen smaller like you suggested in your video so both msfs screen and BATC are on the screen at the same time. Let me try that and I will let you know if that works. I think that may be the problem. You have great videos.
I think I will be able to solve the problem. I understand legacy etc now that you mentioned it. Before I start the next time I will have smaller windows on my main screen. I will let you know how that works.
Hi, when you start the headset, a mic will be added to your volume and mic settings in the lower righthand corner of windows. You should choose the realtek usb 2.0 if I remember correctly. You don’t need to make your screen smaller. I can use both modes. Did you download the vr toolbar from the batc discord server? That one must be installed in your community folder. When installed and you are in VR, you can open the toolbar. I have it mapped to one of the buttons on my yoke. From the toolbar you can then open the batc tool and the window will appear in VR.

@@Virtusim That would be nice. Unfortunately, for now, we'll have to muttle through with FS Desktop. At least, we do have that. Not perfect, but it's "a" solution, for the time being. :)
Bon jour.. are u Using virtualdesktop ? And if so 70hz or 90hz? In sim settings TAA OR DLSS ? ( quality or balance?) I own an rtx4070 12gb i5 12th gen 32gb and no way to improve FPS more than 23-28 in a big Aeroport like LEBL or LEMD ...
Great video. Very immersive. I am the developer for this Cessna 206. I really enjoy watching videos of people flying this because, believe it or not, I don't have a good sense of how other people experience the flights. Your landing was spectacular. Just like I expect. This aircraft does slow flight quite well. And I think the airspeed indicator being in miles per hour does actually help to fly at the correct approach speed because if you're used to knots, you end up going slower with more control.

No joke. This would perform well for that mission. Lots of cargo capacity and it flies mostly the same fully loaded and the turbo engine will get you out of tough airfields.
This is a great airplane - a true joy to fly. I've been flying both the tundra tire version and the amphibian. Both are stable and predictable in the air, and handle well on the ground or on the water.
what the hell😍 what program are you using to stream to VR with OBS? Isn't that unthinkable because of the performance? This is crazy😅 I'm planning on replacing my RTX 3070 with an RTX 4080 super. Will I notice an increase in performance in VR? I also have an I7 10700k 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
