Super helpful! The bit where you showed how the straps on the bottom don't hold a small tripod was a critical point for me and you saved me a purchase that wouldn't have worked for me -- thank you!
I know I’m a little late, but I currently have a Canon 7D Mk II and a 150-600mm lens. I’m looking to switch to Sony but am unsure which camera to choose. I already know which adapter I want, but I need help deciding on the camera. I’m considering the Sony A7 II, but it’s a full-frame camera, unlike my cropped-sensor 7D Mk II. I understand I could switch between full-frame and cropped modes when necessary or even switch the body when I need that little extra reach but I’m looking for recommendations. I’m also interested in the A6000 series, though I prefer the look and feel of the A7 series. My primary focus is aviation photography, so fast autofocus is crucial. Would switching to a Sony camera affect the image quality and autofocus performance? Any advice would be greatly appreciated!
I’ve found the newer Sonys (like the zv-e1) work really well autofocus wise with this lens. I used to use this on the a6600 and the lens wasn’t exactly fast for focus n
Great video Vic. You explained all of the topics, how to find them and how to set them. I'm a Gopro beginner. I saved each topic on note cards for reference later. Gopro is amazing. I have played with photography OFF and ON for most of my life
I NEED SOME HELP. I am going to buy 11 or 12. and honestly when i watched this video, I found the 11 being better on the "colours", but we can see some difference when it gets bright. i am going to use the gopro when hiking, fishing and maby freediving. The problem i have is that i dont really know how much i am going to use log and HDR. And when it comes to the wide camera stuff, i mean that not alot of people have 4k or 5k monitors, so am i going to have use for the upgrade from 11 to 12 camera quality? I dont really care about the prize difference, just think that i can get a tripod with the 11 and still be under the prize of the 12. If someone can give me some answer, then i would be very happy😄
The 4k monitor thing is irrelevant to be honest. Shooting in 4k or 5k is more for what it allows you to do in post production. You can crop in on a 4k/5k video and reframe it quite a bit without losing any quality. Personally I’d go for the 12 if price doesn’t matter as I feel it’s the best iteration of GoPro yet.
Lol I wish I knew about this video sooner. That Saramonic SR-XM1 mic sounded amazing. I had already purchased a rode mic though. I'm not sure what's better or not but I was impressed by the sound quality on it from this video. That probably would've been my go to choice, but it's okay.
@@VicBarry Get extra zoom without losing quality is actually at the 5:00 minute mark in the video, not 5:30. And I was looking for the exact setting because I have to use it right now which is how I knew to look lol.
Great video. But the part about anti flicker was very brief. I keep getting flickering led lights on auto anti flicker. Tried 50 and 60 hz setting but was also unsuccessful. Can you elaborate? Thanks.
