Din svenska har blivit mycket bättre! Ett tips bara. "Är" uttalas mer som engelskans "air" än "are". Samma med "här" alltså mer som "hair".

Dude, as an American - would hate living there. I watched a video where is says that they don't date, they just sleep around after getting very drunk. Bruh, take it from someone who is disgusted by beer, and I definitely do not sleep around - I would be worried about STDs in that place for sure. And intimacy with someone you just met - sorry, but that's just "ewww". Also, they don't seem to "help" each other, they're off to themselves. I'm a very helpful as far as like holding a door for someone elderly, offer someone money if they're very short, ect. If feels nice to help someone in need. 😊

Marriage was relativized as a part of women's liberation in the 60-70's. For some time it was frowned upon as a tool of repression, today it's more like an old-fashioned thing that can be nice despite not meaning that much. Or, like Catherine Deneuve said, why would you get married if you're allowed to divorce?

Very funny 😀 Btw, regarding shoe horns and bending down. Have you tried Swedish clogs. They were very common in Sweden. The tradition goes back centuries. However, never see anybody wearing them these days. I do at work though. Very practical. When leaving your office room, just slip them on and vice versa 😀

Same old same old, imprisoning refugees and deporting them to their deaths. Punishing survival in the name of humanitarian cause. The Germanic people are rich on the outside but poor within. Don't steal from the impoverished. These are the colonizers of black and Asian people, pay your dues rather than punish survival

The root cause is that in Sweden, political campaigns are funded by public subsidies, while in the US, they are flooded by private money from large corporations. As a result, Swedish politicians tend to serve the interests of their citizens, whereas US politicians often prioritize corporate interests. When was the last time US politicians discussed benefits for the people? It seems all they focus on are funds for endless wars and the military industrial complex, and tax cuts for the wealthy.

Love this video! As a Swede it's so much fun to see an American and a Mexican living in Sweden :) Glad you guys are enjoying my home country. Weather is awfaul sometimes and winter is depressing. It's why I love living in the southwest of the United states (L.A. and Las Vegas)

In U.S., the driving part of the test basically consists of making a few turns, signaling, backing up and parking along a paved roadway at the DMV; over in a few minutes. Norway, you have to show proficiency driving in daylight and at night; in different weather conditions such as rain, snow and ice!😳

Grew up in U.S. with Swedish dad and Norwegian mother. Rule #1 Don't speak to the neighbors.😂 Also, friends just showing up unannounced (especially on holidays), bringing friends home from school with you, NOT!😄 Here in U.S. it's more picking which friend you'd go home with after school, i.e. who had the best mom/cookie baker!😂

My Dad is from Sweden, mother Norwegian. Disappointing, reading the nasty comments, insults directed at Stefan, at the U.S. ("a *trash* country") and Americans. All my dad's family, my cousins, aunts and uncles etc. live in Sweden; mother's family in Norway. Never heard such rudeness coming out of their mouths. Uff!

Hook-ups are a sad and sleezy part of western culture; no feelings, no commitment. It will be the death of us since carnal pleasure triumphs the need of wanting a family.

Systembolaget is great. If you only want cold cheap beer bolaget isn't great. If you want an exceptional stock, good service and available even in small hamlets with 10-15 residents you need bolaget. I can ask bolaget to order things from all over the world for me and they often will. Shipping is also cheap.

In Denmark Paternity leave is now mandatory - if not used, the time can not be transferred to mother. It has made much more fathers to take leave, who wouldn't do it before. Win-Win.

Sex isn’t taboo in the U.S it’s more intimate. Sex has more meaning in the U.S than Scandinavia. Putting value on sex makes it special when you do have it with someone. Casual sex is giving a piece of yourself to another. It’s healthy vulnerability.

You never really own a home in the USA because every year you have to pay property taxes (around $4,000/ year). They go up every year. In Europe that's not the case. The usa is inferior when it comes to home ownership. Home insurance in the U.S. is mandatory too and it costs $3500 year. On top of those two you must pay HOA. U.S. homes are made of cardboard too, weak materials. Europe wins hands down.

Week numbers.... HA, just wait until someone says Week 439 or 451, or 514, ... This is how it works where i work. And, yes, it IS logical but i, as a Swede, still have no real idea of when a week is. Why three digits? First digit is the end of the year. So, 2024 is 4, 2025 is 5 and so on. And then, the regular week number that year. So 529 is year 2025 and week 29. Whenever that is... most probably in the mid/later part of summer since it is somewhat in the middle of 1-52/53 (yes, some years have 53 weeks).

This is such an old video and completely outdated. the numbers are completely different now in 2024. The US has gotten way more expensive after covid, more than Sweden. And another thing that's not taken into account is quality and standard of living. Let's not even forget what happens when you get sick in the US and you don't have good insurance that covers anything. You are totally screwed. Oh and lastly, 5 weeks paid vacation vs one week in the US. After 3p years in the US I'm moving back to Europe...
