The way that I read it is that a well aimed cannon ball from a neighbouring hillside was shot at the Parthenon of which was being used as a gunpowder store at the time and the resulting explosion blew the roof of along with the marbles!.. Lord Elgin was the only one interested in them at the time and dug them out of the rubble.. If the Marbles had not been collected up and preserved they would have ended up scattered to the four corners of the world.. Either that or ground up for cement..

What appears to be forgotten in political diction is the simple formula: ‘the pendulum has turned and is beginning to swing back towards the centre’ - forget ‘marching’ and ‘far right’ and suchlike phrases - all that is happening is that conservative values are beginning to reassert themselves..

Violence has become the norm to use against conservative candidates and chaos to keep democratic system from working. Anarchists dont care about violence and destruction because policing has not enforced the law and the media censors the news. The left uses this to stop their political opposition.

The media are having a very strange conversation around this. It's as if the media had thought that we are all now living in one party states across Europe. People are simply using their vote. And why does the word 'far' have to be used as a prefix to the word 'right'. 🤔

Of more concern than a label is how AfD politician Marie-Thérèse Kaiser has lost here appeal against a conviction for hate speech when she cited germen government statistics which showed that Afghan males are ‘disproportionately involved in the perpetration of serious sexual offences in germany’. So you tell the truth, using government statistics and you are tried and found guilty of hate speech, then lose the appeal as speaking the truth is apparently no defence in this upside down twaterati new Orwellian world 🤦‍♂️ FYI 13.7% of German pop is ‘auslander’ (foreign) but responsible for 50% of these sexual offences 😶

No, the most people voting AFD are NOT "far right" or even "extremists". But the left leaning media tries to brand every AFD Voter as "extremist", because this is the only way they want to prevent undecided voters to NOT vote for the AFD. Of course, as in every party, there are probably some true right winged extremists in the margins of the AFD. And the talented leaders of the AFD should be careful to distance themselves from extremists at the borders of their party, to not fuel the branding of their party.

This is kinda normal, if you look at the big picture, politics usually swings from left to right, it goes something like this, the left wins, they get 1, 2 or 3 terms to deliver the goods, voters get fed up with them and then vote for the right, then the right mess-up and rinse and repeat the cycle. The UK moving to the left is mostly to do with the right being in power for so long and through a period of time that's not been that great, Covid, Brexit and now the war in Ukraine. We see this seesaw effect in the UK every 2 or 3 elections, we see the same in the US every 1 or 2 elections, and we see much of the same to a degree in Europe as well, but ultimately, regardless of who is voted into power, not really much is going to change because of the political realities of what they can and can't do, lots of promises will be made, many of which will be broken, but if they got your vote, it's a job well done, the Tories doing the usually, lower taxes, higher spending, they are like a broken record on that one that I'm surprised people fall for it lol. Anyway, like in the UK where we got burnt with Brexit and all the lies, maybe the same thing needs to happen in some European countries, especially France, after all, a dose of reality is always the best wakeup call for angry voters.
