If you pair it with a XD600/1v2 mono amp it’ll be 10x better. I have a 12W6v3 with the XD600/1v2 and it hits extremely hard. People think I have 3 subs lol
I’d say they are maybe about the same or just a tad lower. But completely different sound from the Black Widows I have on my Monte Carlo. Just depends on what sound your after.
@@missayawk Yep I got the grill installed. I plan to run a Kicker KX800.5 amp that will put 400watts RMS @ 2ohms to it. I bet it will be enough for my style of use. Blended balanced bass. I hooked it up to a fully charged battery and tested it for 5mins or so in my garage and it rattled the place. Should sound even better in a small suv.
@@45eno Definitely enough power for this sub.I have to turn down my bass because of rattles to my Chrysler 300.Now you have some peace of mind/ safety with the grill.Enjoy the sounds.
Man this sounds great. I want something similar on my 21 RST. So just to confirm you have the attack muffler and removed the stock res? Asking cus I wanted to keep the res but thinking it may need to go cause I wan to curve out my tip (single) with 2 tips. But if no drone or very minimal that is perfect for long drives in the hwy.
Yeah, I removed the resonator. Both my Sierra and Yukon have the Atak mufflers and they have no drone. Nothing like a Flowmaster for sure. I had a super 44 on the Yukon before this and it sounded really good but it would rattle everything inside. If you want loud and aggressive the Atak is definitely the way to go.
It’s my favorite by far! I have it on my Yukon and my Sierra. It’s loud and aggressive but it’s really tame in the cab. I love the sound of Flowmasters, but they drone too much in the cab. Just depends on what sound your after. The Borla’s definitely have a loud sporty sound to them.
Tony you probably can... the only reason why I’d get the cat back system is cause it’s fine tuned for that specific vehicle. So you don’t get any drone. I’ve heard some awesome sounding Borla mufflers that they swapped out. But people complained about the droning.
I had the Atak on my 18 silverado, absolutely loved it. Got a 19 and found out you cant put the Atak on the new body style. Went to the dealer and they said they wouldn't be able to fit it, any suggestions?
@@gabrielvaldovinos7314 ok thanks a lot ....then i know exaxtly what to get ...i like the sound of both the super 10 and the Atack but i want it quiet inside the truck at highway speeds ...
How were you able to run the Atak on the 5.3? I reached out to Borla and they said they didn’t make a system for the 5.3 for new gen Sierras/Silverados.
