I have discovered that this 2 anticlockwise half hitches flowed by two clockwise half hitches.and if you open up your over hand knot by putting your thumb into the knot as they cross each other you get two half hitches also an overhand knot can be made out of a clove hitch (which is 2 half hitches ) by pulling half hitch through the other.

In making a crown knot (if it's 4 strand like this )you tie 4 anticlockwise half hitches and you then tie 4 clockwise half hitches which makes the wall knot which are inverted and that's all their is to it.

Did this with candy bar wrappers, it is surprisingly strong.

I was then about to be operated on for appendicitis in the operating theatre when the surgeon noticed I still had a ring on … I told her her (dopily because I’d already been pre-opped) (😅) that I just couldn’t get it off … and she said “ don’t worry, I’ll see to it” … she then got thread they use for stitching and did this trick … it worked !!! 😅😅 lol

You forgot to mention that a lark's head knot reduces the strength of your line by half. For example, if the line is rated for 1 tonne, after tying a lark's head knot, it will be rated for 500 kg.
