My issue is the car shifts into all gears but doesnt move. Like its in nuetral. Moves in "park" and have to use e brake to keep from rolling. Any idea what my problem could be?
@@Torchred00_c5 I am having a hard time getting the connector apart to get to the 3rd bolt. I have pushed down on the tab but I am having a hard time getting the connector apart. Do you take the connector off the tab to get to the 3rd bolt?
My question is which part did I need? I did not realize that there is two things that look the same but they are not. One is a lock up solenoid 28300-p24-j01 which is what I bought. Now that I look back at this video I think I got the wrong one according to those holes. I should have gotten shift solenoid 28200-P4R-003. I changed mine a few weeks ago and now I’m getting a flashing D light on my dash. The diagnostic tool said it was my solenoid.
@@Alex86056 I haven’t swappedthe lower one yet, the I put on in the video looked like the one I took off if I remember correctly. I didn’t have any lights flashing when I changed mine but I’m thinking maybe my trans is messed up and not a solenoid
Ferrari?? More than double the cost and half the performance, the zr1 will hold its value just fine, the c7 zr1 market is over 200k now, so I’m sure the new one will hold just fine
lol as someone with 3, let me assure you 2 vets and 1 Ferrari I own and one of my vets has over 1000 hp as well, I can sell my Ferrari today, the F12 superfast that has a top speed better than that overpriced chevy your mentioned and also a 10 second car, which by the way you can’t drive that way unless you won’t go to jail. I can sell the Ferrari today and make money, I can’t sell either Vett one I have over 200 thousand in the other a new Z06 I pad 180 for, I would lose my ass if I sell either. Not the Ferrari I could make money on it and with chevy dealerships wonting over 100,000 mark up over msrp you will never I said never even get close to holding your value, so keep dreaming because that’s all your doing. Peace!
@@rod4758 easy there fella, just my opinion on it, and you’re probably mostly correct but I’ll never own either of them so 🤷♂️ unless I hit the lottery or join a cartel. A f12 and new z06 can’t even imagine having both in my garage
@@homeisneptune9315 I still have it but it’s been under a cover in my shop sitting beside the vette. Haven’t really done anything to it since I bought the vette. I’ve thought about maybe getting back on it soon but idk
It’s not a hybrid, 5.5 flat plane crank v8 with twin turbos. Even if it had a “hybrid” system, it would be more like the E-Ray with the electric motors driving the front wheels, which is probably coming with the Zora model
the part you changed is the lockout A/B solenoids. the "Shift A/B solenoids" are on the bottom of the transmission under a metal cover. There is also a linear solenoid just above the shift solenoids. Shift solenoid P/N is 28200-P4R-003. Lockout P/N is 28300-P24-J01. The linear solenoid is P/N 28250-P4R-315, also known as the "AT Clutch Pressure Control Solenoid".
How do you determine which ones need to be replaced. Mine hangs in 3rd gear and takes a while to shift into 4th gear. I also get a torque converter lock up circuit engine light when driving at steady hwy speed 70mph+. No CEL if im just putterin around town though and it seems to be running fine aside from the delay into 4th gear.
There are two actuators on the bottom front. One looks like similar to the one you removed, its under a metal cover. That is the shift solenoid The linear solenoid is directly above the metal cover. its held in with 4 bolts and looks like a tube with an electrical connector on it s end.
Yes there’s another solenoid on the front side at the bottom, iirc correct it’s a clutch solenoid, been a minute since I read up on it, that’s next when I get time to get back on it. Hopefully that one will fix the issue because I really don’t wanna swap the transmission
Yea it’s noticeable without being overly loud. Even inside it’s not loud imo. Now this may change when I add the long tubes and x pipe, I’ll do a new video when I swap those out, thanks for watching!
Thanks bro, been sitting under a cover for that year almost, some things have change since this video. And I bought a vette so been playing with it and not the sol
@@Torchred00_c5 your welcome brotha, im working on getting my eg2 back to clean status. My s2k is taking too much money to finish lol. Check out my last vid, hopefully I'll be able to build a wire tucked harness for my eg2 and get it painted soon. I wanna go midori green with a black hood, targa, and gas door. 🔰♥️
The intake doesn’t matter, it’s not driven enough to matter if it loses power or not. Just there like that to keep things clean as I can’t get anyone to fab up the intake tube I’d like to put on it. Car hasn’t even touched in almost a year since I bought a vette which I’ve been spending more time on
