the part you changed is the lockout A/B solenoids. the "Shift A/B solenoids" are on the bottom of the transmission under a metal cover. There is also a linear solenoid just above the shift solenoids. Shift solenoid P/N is 28200-P4R-003. Lockout P/N is 28300-P24-J01. The linear solenoid is P/N 28250-P4R-315, also known as the "AT Clutch Pressure Control Solenoid".
How do you determine which ones need to be replaced. Mine hangs in 3rd gear and takes a while to shift into 4th gear. I also get a torque converter lock up circuit engine light when driving at steady hwy speed 70mph+. No CEL if im just putterin around town though and it seems to be running fine aside from the delay into 4th gear.
There are two actuators on the bottom front. One looks like similar to the one you removed, its under a metal cover. That is the shift solenoid The linear solenoid is directly above the metal cover. its held in with 4 bolts and looks like a tube with an electrical connector on it s end.
My question is which part did I need? I did not realize that there is two things that look the same but they are not. One is a lock up solenoid 28300-p24-j01 which is what I bought. Now that I look back at this video I think I got the wrong one according to those holes. I should have gotten shift solenoid 28200-P4R-003. I changed mine a few weeks ago and now I’m getting a flashing D light on my dash. The diagnostic tool said it was my solenoid.
@@Alex86056 I haven’t swappedthe lower one yet, the I put on in the video looked like the one I took off if I remember correctly. I didn’t have any lights flashing when I changed mine but I’m thinking maybe my trans is messed up and not a solenoid
@@Torchred00_c5 I am having a hard time getting the connector apart to get to the 3rd bolt. I have pushed down on the tab but I am having a hard time getting the connector apart. Do you take the connector off the tab to get to the 3rd bolt?
Yes there’s another solenoid on the front side at the bottom, iirc correct it’s a clutch solenoid, been a minute since I read up on it, that’s next when I get time to get back on it. Hopefully that one will fix the issue because I really don’t wanna swap the transmission
