I have a quick question. I have two new guinea pigs that have Glenn it now like it smells so bad. I don’t know what to do. I was gonna let my veterinarian do it.
Where did you get your Fleeve?? I have been looking everywhere for good fleece and can't find any. I have 9 piggies 3 boys and 6 girls. Yeah My very first two piggies I first bought, surprise, both were pregnant. I built a 2-layer C&C cage-3x7 and I need to find Coroplast & fleece. Since the ones I do have Suck and I'm changing cages every other day, I hear everyone saying oh 1 week sometimes a bit longer, but me, nope, every other. Please help! 😊
I got this fleece at Walmart. They are fleece blankets. But my cage changed soon after that to where I made fleece liners. I got the fleece at Joann Craft store
I watched a video of a vet cleaning a male guinea pig by holding the piggy against her facing out. She then pushed on the area around the penis until it popped out, and the penis pushed out too. She used Q-Tips to clean off this yellow stuff on both areas. I thought that was the grease gland. Your video looks nothing like this. Can you please help me? I am so confused.
Tractor Supply has big bags of Pelletized Horse bedding for pretty cheap. I think they’re $6 something per bag. I used to use it before I totally switched to fleece. 😊
Worst product ever because it is way too temperamental. I have several of these & right now 3 of them are not working. Mine is the older version but essentially the same product.
If I may ask, cuz I'm researching right now, why two separate sections that overlap instead of one big tray? Is it easier to clean? Be kind please I'm just trying to learn
Aspen is apparently the only guinea pig-safe wood shaving. Other wood varieties are associated with a number off issues including respiratory and other chronic illnesses. I'd encourage undyed and unbleached paper litters, hay, and fleece.
I noticed you have a fair few pigs, maybe in the future focus on giving them more space and having less overall, just for the pigs overall health and well-being. Also I wouldn’t advise hay racks. Ur doing great tho, keep it up!
Also, thanks for the easy to follow video, it’s hard to get ready made c&c bases here or really expensive so think I’m gonna have to make it a diy thing
Hello I have a few questions. When washing the pads, do you use hot or cold water? Do you wash the u-haul pad before sewing them? Does it shrink? Whan the pads are done, do you use the dryer or does it have to be air dried? Are they long to dry? Thanks.
I have a 3 yr old boar I rescued. He showed up at my house with his little suitcase, so how could I turn him away? I use the guineadad fleece liners and treat him like a king. I’ve never tried to potty train him. I sweep daily and change his liner once a week. He goes to the vet once a year for his wellness check.
My boy was neutered last month and he had small little abscesses which we got antibiotics for and the vet lanced it. Next day it’s as big as caramels now. Vet thinks it’s a blood clot from landing it since it grow double in size but I’m thinking abscess. He’s on antibiotics and pain med. any advice?
Once I saw this was taken inside of a teachers classroom (yes, I know, I didn't notice the username) the quality of video made a lot of sense. Thanks for the short, simple instructions.
What does the sugar do for the glue? I would think it would encourage chewing. Does the tapioca flour do that on its own? Thanks for sharing this with us.
Awwww! Good on you! I hope all of the babies got great homes. Is the Mckamey shelter you mentioned the one in Chattanooga? If so, I used to rescue from there in their first years of opening up.
Thanks! Yes, it’s the same place. Their morals have definitely gone to pot. The puppies were my last babies to foster. Turns out they were killing kittens without even giving them a chance at life with a foster parent. So many of the great foster parents were kicked out of the program for finding out these things and bringing it their board of directors. It’s a sketchy place.
