Yes, It's not dead yet but the problems nowadays is bot, it's not many but it's farm trash item all days in Juperos, Magma, etc.. I report to GM so many times but it's still there, If GM still do nothing it's gonna be dead soon.
Just watched all of these, and enjoyed them. I played a decent amount of pre-renewal and RO holds a special place for me. It is interesting to see how much it changed, while I was aware of some of them it was cool to see it as your progress. I always loved the social aspect of RO and that seems to be missing (though you did mention you joined some parties), and now it is more a solo mmo. Not sure I’d join again but really enjoy your videos. I look forward to seeing more when you have time 😊
4:40 I remember back then playing this game, the grinding is super hard and tiring. My friend easily say "0.1% exp per minute is a lot", but what going on my mind was how much money I have to spend on voucher and pc rental to just get 1 level up (my friend is rich, so he probably didn't think it that way 😂). Btw, do ro still have active server to this day?
Ro is fun, just no time ❤. I remember staying up hunting mvps around the clock day n night. There's always something to do. Hr n shr are boring cause u have everything
I think the simplification of the game has stolen something from the player. I feel like so many games are about INSTANT results that no one has to work for anything anymore. I remember working SO much harder than I needed to in the thief trial in the past and being genuinly proud of what I had achieved. or working your way through that maze at the beginning. If you take away the effort, you take away the game. RO will always have a special place in my heart, it was my first MMO and the reason I did my game dev degree, but I feel like they have optimized the fun out of the game a but.......at saying that, I currently have it downloading again after watching your video :D
tbh, the best remake was Ragnarok Origins PC/Mobile. JUST THAT IT WAS EFFING P2W. Origins had the best modern anime-like graphics similarly to classic RO. mvp hunting was fun, GVG designs are INSANE GOOD. Fair mix between dungeons and field bosses hunting. JUST TOO MANY P2W FEATURES. THE REFINING IS INSANE P2W. Eternal Love is p2w, but not as heavy as origins, especially the first few years. the Gacha 1% ATK MATK deposit system broke the game progressively (imagine a whale with 200% bonus ATK AND MATK compared to f2p with say 30% by default). the woe and woc is fun as hell, but graphics not as nice as origins HOWEVER, eternal love is coming out with a much less P2W SERVER. ALTHOUGH you can buy zeny via real money, its impact is little af end game. They removed all other p2w features too, no gacha etc.
I recently started re-playing RO and I'm currently OBSESSED with it trying to get to level 100 for the Sonic event, but I really need tips because I haven't played it in like 10 years, so I appreciate this. Thanks & keep up the good work!
Is there any server that starts over every x amount of time? It’d be fun for me to play and see how fast I could be with my friends compared to others and grab a castle during woe like say every month or two until it resets?
The Royal Banquet has a nice start as story lines go. It still leads to the usual RO type scenery and maps. However, the next major quest is a the sequel to Royal Banquet which is called Terra Gloria. There are a lot of interesting new scene designs appearing and your character gets to travel to quite a few more interesting places.
I just started playing my beta character this week! I lost access to the account so I made a new account for official launch but I got it unlocked by the GMs a few years ago when I was consolidating my accounts in warp portal.
perhaps its will be boring in the process when finishing this quest, but after u have done it all, u can always come back and do the daily quest which reward with exp and honor token, which can help level up a bit and exchange the noble set for ur job and some other eq from the npc in front of the prison entrance...
i began to replay RO again and that theme plays in prontera will give me goosebumps and all nostalgia flooding in like a tsunami.... i guess i also shed a tear or two remembering the old days.
Love the idea of posting the equipment quests. I created a mage that will turn into an auto caster sage later. I didn’t even know shadow chaser could do the same. Love your videos. Don’t get discouraged about the leveling experience and keep going! Love the videos :)
I absolutely love your videos. Every year, I go through my dips of nostalgia and the crave to play RO. I played very casually, so I don't know everything about the logistics and tactics of RO, except for foundational gameplay. However, I really did consider RO to be my second home and escape from reality after school! I met my best friend in 2010 on a private midrate server pre-renewal and we're still going strong. I will live vicariously through your videos! Please continue to keep making them, and if you potentially showcase other characters and the like!
The most memorable moment of me in-game, is leveling in Glasthiem Underground Prison 1... it was intense... your party should stay in one spot, and members have their roles to play, healers ahud stay inside the spot, tanks would lure mobs and dps like hunter/wizards do the main dps... if you die without being redirected by a priest, it's gonna be a long trip back, or else have to beg or warp by priests 😂 those days were so much fun!
