I drove this car and it felt absolutely dated. The interior looks way behind other brands. Avoid. However, this is normal and actually its purely UK fault, don't expect many car brands to build cars for the UK only and this is why the brit car market its so limited.
Had mine for 6 days. I find the sync 4 is slower than the sync 3 in C-max. I don’t like the bong if driving over the speed limit! Also it says that there are different speeds to the signs. It needs a proper rev counter. Not to keen on the size of screen, 13 inch, it’s a portable TV! 10 would have been sufficient as CarPlay is stretched across the screen.
@PeoplesAutomotiveGroup still driving a mondeo and it looks great but inside is very basic. Loved the look of the edge but the engine choices or lack of, turned me off it.. looking at kia for my next car
Nice, well informed review 👍loved the myth busters section!👏 BYD are paying attention to their user base, rolling out OTA updates quite quickly too, with the latest (amongst others) adding 3 finger screen drags up/down for temp, and left/right for fan speed! REALLY looking forward to getting my Excellence later this year! 😁
Lovely looking car, there quite expensive for the hybrid ones, is it worth getting the new Kuga in 1.5 ecoboost titanium trim in green colour and option the heated seats to keep costs down , there's about 5 grand of a difference between titanium and st line trim, my favourite looking ones the active but it's even more pricey than st line , the green colour is definitely my first choice, seen one at local ford garage when driving by , really nice
As you've seen there are loads of different engine and trim options. If you're local to one of our dealerships then pop in and the team can talk you through pricing and any offers. Jen
Absolutely so much fun to drive, and that is about it!! Unfortunately there are not enough fast chargers, public charging has already trebled in price, a typical pod point fast charger used to be 25p a Kw, now it’s 85p a KW, so not far off £50, for about 220 miles, if it’s not cold, In the cold Weather you lose about 20% due to the lithium batteries not liking the cold, ask any EV driver and I have met loads at charging stations, would you buy one, they have all said no, please guys do your research, i shouldn’t be telling you these as I am trying to sell them for a living, we have stopped importing them as we cannot get rid of them!
It all depends on your needs, for many people who make frequent shorter trips then EV's are a great option. Having charging options at home or work helps too, Jen
If only they would keep making the puma ST 1.5 200bhp I have one 4 months old it’s epic . As a Ford driver of 38 years I will probably go to another brand sadly I have to say the direction Ford are going in is a backwards step . Never thought I’d leave Ford.
Had a look at this today and the new seats are a revelation - the extendable thigh supports and depth-adjustable headrests are a massive improvement. The infotainment screen is a mixed bag, I don't like the HVAC controls on the screen, but it's good to see wireless CarPlay.
@PeoplesAutomotiveGroup question, does the Seal come with the matte interior as standard rather than the glossy? Much prefer the matte black but seen both interiors in reviews
I test drove one of these a few days ago - drives nicely, but man that interior. I have test driven a few of the Kuga’s competitors before I make a decision on which car to buy. This car for me has by far the worst interior, the design is boring and unimaginative, and the quality of the materials seems cheap to me. Ford really needs to up their game.. I test drive the New VW Tiguan R-Line, Kia Sportage GT Line S, Skoda Karoq, and the Peugeot 3008 - all of them used interior materials that were better than the Ford’s….if these other car makers can do it, why can’t Ford.
I got the full hybrid st line x in green can't wait to pick up in 5 days time my ford dealer great ordered it last week and they got it straight away for me

Used Pre fl model 1.5 ecoboost 2023 plate for months. And It was a dissapointing experience overall. I found nearly everything low effort. screen looks like only thing that has changed.
The new camera systems are super crisp with the new 3D overhead view. Also the front facing camera has a wider field of view so helps when manoeuvring into tight spaces.
Nearly everyone is moving away from full leather seats - to be honest I think these are some of the best seats in this class of car. When I test drove it, the seats were one of the standout features - even if I didn’t care too much for the rest of the interior.
No Vignale failed ,who would seriously buy a Ford for rhe same price as a BMW or Mercedes ? Noone ,and that's what happened. Ford never learns , the same happened to Ghia .
We own the Kuga previous to this face-lift and I agree, at first glance, the interior does seem outdated. But I don't know how Ford manages to do it once you actually step inside, it is quite nice and you really never miss anything. I don't know how to put it but Ford manages to make this car very enjoyable to use everyday and you end up coming back to it. Also all the extra options that you get on a Ford are not gimmicks and always work, like the boot that opens up with the swipe of the leg. We owned a VW and it was a nightmare compared to the Ford
You are the first reviewer who is doing a review of the new Kuga, however, you lack 2 things: 1) The new infotainment which was not explained; 2) The new dashboard which was updated this year.
For a Once Over review like this we don't have time to go into full details on the infotainment menus etc maybe we should do an in-depth look at them both?
@@PeoplesAutomotiveGroup definitely, I think people would appreciate this :) I have a Focus with sync4 but with the old instrument cluster so I don't know what are the differences between the old and the new version
