‘Football For All’ as Glasgow hosts the first Parkinson’s Walking Football Festival in Scotland.
The very first Peoples Ford Parkinson’s Walking Football Festival is only days away and we’re honoured to be the official sponsors. ⚽ Taking place from 10am on Saturday 21st October at Toryglen Regional Football Centre, teams are travelling from all over the UK to hold the trophy and be named the first ‘Peoples Ford Parkinson’s Walking Football Festival Champions 2023.’ Ahead of game day, Peoples Ford Chairman, Brian Gilda, Former Scottish Footballer, Tom Boyd, Glasgow Life Event organiser Matt Ramsay and trustee of Parkinson’s UK, Brian Carson came together for the official team draw. Partnering with Glasgow Life, Celtic FC Foundation, Parkinson’s UK and Motability to bring such an inspiring community event together really is at the heart of why we help to bring events like this to our community. Physical activity, including walking football helps to slow down the progression of Parkinson’s and our festival will help to raise awareness of the benefits of physical activity in addition to bringing those living with Parkinson’s together. ❤️
