Do guys pack way less? Getting things for my little brother as he is single and Im the only family member close by to him (older sister) & he thinks I am crazy for getting him all sorts of toiletries, snacks, tea & coffee etc. But i think it will help him get thru. How about first aid ish kit? I got him some medicine but he thinks it's crazy
Great career I did 6 years stationed Travis the whole enlistment. I was the first batch to start active duty to be trained in echo. My man did cath lab/respiratory and I did echo/respiratory. I preferred cardiac and was lucky to stay as an echo tech permanently half end of my enlistment. Good luck to you💙
She's extremely passionate about her work, she worked with my lung specialist. Eglin AFB has one of the best medical clinics in the whole Air Force hands down.
Love the insight in this video , ? With this job if your wanting to go in enlisted, but already a respiratory therapist with all certifications would I still have to redo tech schooling . If I already am I respiratory practitioner as currently as a civilian? I always wondered how that would work but definitely interested in enlisting
Thanks for creating this content! It was very enlightening getting a glimpse into the day in the life and even the benefits that come along with this speciality 👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾
Thank you for making such an informative video. I’m planning to pick this job but I have a question. In phase two, do you have yo change base? Can you stay in the base to continue your training? I want my kid to come with me for tech school. I heard once you’re in tech school for a month, they can come live with you on base. However, I don’t want to move after phase one. Thank you!
Hello, I am glad you found it helpful. Everyone moves after Phase I as Phase II is not taught at the same location. You may be able to stay in the local area (Texas) but that is only if the Air Force has a need for you there. Everyone's situation varies however, based on their status (ie. married, single, prior service, first time enlistee, etc). It is hard to provide information without knowing your exact situation. Your family would not accompany you to your first phase of tech school.
Hello! I’m not sure if you would know the answer to my question, however, I am currently in a bachelors program for respiratory care and then I will be receiving my RRT shortly afterwards. I have been considering going the Air Force for this but I want to join as an officer since I’ll have a bachelors degree. Do you know if that would be possible?
Thanks for this video, it is extremely helpful. You mentioned that you tested for your boards and in the civilian world you are a certified respiratory therapist. My question is would that be the exact job title translation in the civilian world or are there other routes you can go with the skill set you gained in the military?
Glad to hear you have found this info to be helpful. That is the exact job title on the civilian side but can also be listed as (Registered Respiratory Therapist or Respiratory Care Practitioner). If you would like to pursue a career in healthcare such as becoming a doctor, nurse, or PA, this field could provide you with knowledge to excel in those professions.
wish they’d update the online listing for these jobs to reflect the new requirements, went in to see about doing diagnostic imaging and the AF website never mentioned any requirement for anything past a HS diploma but was told I’d need college credits or a degree for the field
Super insightful! I'm currently in the process of enlisting and this definitely helped me get a better idea of my options and what action steps I need to be taking. Greatly appreciated!
I just graduated with a bachelors recently and I have been looking at this job with my recruiter at the moment but damn I want to be able to travel… Are there a lot of bases you are able to be stationed at for this job?? Over seas bases specifically?
Hello, I was able to take my transcripts directly to my recruiter when enlisting. The courses I have taken post enlistment are mailed to an education department that tracks our education goals.
I’m in the airguard now and I’m in school for respiratory therapy and I graduate next year I was wondering if I could challenge techschool or would I still have to go?
@@Only1Diamond I'm at Ft. Sam right now as 4H. Thank you for making these video. Also, I'm glad to hear from you. Hope you're prospering and are back state side with your loved ones. Perhaps a video update is in order?
