In the last 6 months, I've planted five mangos, five avocados, five grapefruit, three orange, five lime, 20 bananas, one lychee, one rambutan, 15 papaya, three jack fruit, one calamondine..... I am closer to your age than a spring chicken. But...... as the saying goes. "Many a man planted a tree that he never sat under the shade." Nice clip. I tapped the thumbs 👍 button to feed the algorithm monsters.
Planted a plum, peach, pear white pear pomegranate, passionfruit, heirloom grape seedless litchi(not doing well) lemon , lime, als ( common afrikaans name im not sure) lavender rosemary tomatoes all me chilli and green pepper seeds go into the garden its been amazing
And then last year i took the leap and got chickens. They give me 5 eggs a day for 5 hens. Amazing! They eat all kitchen scraps, make great pets and compost, and clear weeds and pests before planting , amazing.
I’ve been thinking about how our future will progress. With all these purple haired soy boys growing up that never had a dad that taught them how to plant a garden, took them fishing or hunting, or to a ball game, or on a camping trip. What will they be teaching their kids? Frightening!
Just wanted to comment that even though this video is 6 years old now, everything you said is still possible today. I was able to do exactly what you said in this video - bought a $60,000 fixer upper with cash in a small town a year ago. And by the way, I did it on one income. I saved like a madman because I really really wanted no mortgage so badly. It took me close to 3 years. I had no debts of any kind either. Lived in a small cheap apartment while I saved up. For other millenials out there, it is possible if you know where to look, want it bad enough, and are willing to work, sacrifice, and save.

Millenial here. You are spot on with what you said. One of my peers recently complained that he can't afford a house and it's impossible to ever buy one. I responded by saying, well how did I buy mine with cash? He said, well, I'm not talking about THAT kind of house. I responded by saying, you're single with no wife or kids, why do you need a 2,500 sq ft house in the suburbs? Shut him right down. I bought a fixer upper cash under $100,000 last year. Homes in my area go for around $350,000. Fixing it up with my dad. Not afraid of an older, smaller house. It can be done, but people have to change their thinking and expectations. Scrimp, save up, look for a deal, look in small towns. Houses are out there if you know where to look. Cheers!
My grinder just recently quit i got it about 25 years ago at sears. Gonna start looking for one. You don't realize how much you use something till you can't use it!! Love your videos man!
Awesome video. I've been thinking about that for a year or two for food for my cats. I was also thinking about getting either a fishing license or traut llne license for fish. I have a friend who either uses his chickens or when leg quarters are on sale, he cans cat food for his cat. Things going to get real bad before it gets better. I've been thinking about my food too as I'm a carnivore for the past year. LOL
Hummm, good idea. I have one of those. I bought it to make sausage. Good idea buying cheap cuts of meat and grinding my own. I haven’t used it for a long time. May be time to get it out again. Used to make good breakfast sausage patties with it.
Here lately I have been concerned that I'm going to have to eat the dog and the dog food, it's getting hard to survive with our Monopoly money here lately...
Completely agree that ugly huge or small cookie cutters in subdivisions are not what the American dream should be. No privacy, no posibility to grow your own food or raise animals, and horrible HOAs.

Great video and interesting on how much you found. Side note: every time I watch your video with the chickens in the background my Siamese climbs on my chest. He's between my chest and my laptop just laying there listening. Once it's over he jumps off?? I don't know. LOL
