Looks so nice! I’m gonna just highlight my bangs for awhile as I’m sick of the harsh line. I used to be platinum, then switched to highlights because my hair was too damaged, then decided it was still too damaged so I grew my hair out THEN started using 9v from Redken color fusion. I have level 7.5 hair so the all over color looks very nice and natural on me, but I want more brightness. I popped a few highlights in my hair and it’s been so long since I did highlights I forgot to add hair in between a few of the foils so it’s very solid. I’m gonna try the teasing technique as you go back the hairline like you did, it looks really nice. I’m technically a licensed professional, but I have not been behind the chair in 7 years. I only do my own hair and moms. lol.
I pulled too much blonde as i have thin hair so I used wella 6 demi with the matching developer to low light just a couple fine foils - perfect and the color has lasted months ( also use purple shampoo to tone and use mineral / hard water shampoo every so often which brightens my hair because we have hard water )
I think it looks darker but it looks good but from the beginning to the end it looks darker to me maybe you touched up more of her darker underneath or is it just the lighting but it looks really nice
Here’s a little tip for doing it yourself at home! I like to lock my foil on the other side of the weave flat against the hair/head, so your painting away from your face - it just makes it easier to see what I’m doing and I find it’s nice having a solid surface to paint on, rather than my face 😂 ❤ I hope that makes sense 🫶
Dear good are you driving and looking at yourself in your phone ? Please record yourself when you are parked . That’s putting other people in danger. 🤦🏼♀️
Definitely agree about the board test! I just took mine a few weeks ago and tbh it was nearly as bad as I thought it was going to be. If you go to the website where you schedule your test there should be a page with the %’s on how much of each subject is actually going to be in your test. It really helped me figure out which things to really focus my energy and time on.
Love this for new members to the Hair Family! How have things been since you posted? it seems like a lot has changed in our industry and community. Best!
I was really enjoying your video until you made the Karen comment. It’s so tiresome, I’m actually using my middle name at work because I’m so over it. 🙄
Same here. The owner of this well known private school actually reached out to mom and asked her if I would want to teach there after I finished school. I obviously said no because I haven’t even been out in a salon yet 🤦🏽♀️😂 I’m in Florida
Omg this was so helpful! I lightened my hair yesterday and it looks great but there are those pieces up front that I’m being not picky about and I loved the way you tackled them! thank you
I always do a drip of Paul Mitchell the demi rose gold In my blonde toners ALWAYS to keep it from over processing and keeping it from looking too ashy/purple. Shades EQ 9/10GI is also really good
Thank you so much for your video!! I’m graduating in February from cosmetology school I already have 1,000 hours I had a work interview last week and the salon was super high end but people leave with their hair wet? Because to get a blow dry it’s an extra 50?!? Idk how I feel about that I don’t know if it’s normal or if it would affect me. I asked them why that was and they told me because we should get paid more for it and get more commission, what do you guys think?
i’m in 10th grade and going into a cosmetology class really soon! i can’t wait, i’ve wanted to be a hairdresser for almost 2 years now and i’ve watched like every brad mondo video at least 3 times. i’ve dyed and cut my own hair as well as others and obviously i’m 15 and not a professional so it’s never turned out perfect but i’m willing to learn and get better!!!
Some people just don't know or understand... appreciate the way you explained this 💜💜💜🌻🌻🌻🌻loved the end of this ...belly laughing ..your so funny you made me laugh sooo hard !!!!!
Just want to say I appreciate your honesty and keeping it strictly professional love your ideas too... and you can also go to the hair school academy for super cheap they always have someone looking over their shoulder assisting and kind of helping them along I'm a new subscriber I've watched several of your videos and just adore you thank you so much 💜💜💜 will definitely go subscribe to your other channels as well 🌻🌻
Love this and love mixing 9g and 9v shades EQ gloss or Paul Mitchell for that bright blonde look very pretty and that tiny bit of lightener made a huge difference , new subscriber
Where I live you can only be an instructor if you have been on the floor for 3 years i am currently a cosmetology student and i will be done in two months love the video very informative !
I just graduated last month and I was already offered a job. I’m not gonna lie, I’m terrified! I really haven’t learned much besides the basics. She wants me to take clients right away but like? I’m not ready? Watching this video let’s me know that we’re all lost when we finish so I feel a lot better
@@aja5077 take my advice I graduated in 2015 and got cold feet and went to traditional college after instead of going to a salon and now for the past year I’ve been working at a salon and it made me realize I was right this is where I need to be and no one knows or feels ready. So I’m getting my license this summer!!!! You gotta push yourself into the unknown and uncomfortable it’ll be worth it 🖤
So cute.. yep i remember that feeling . I graduated in 1998 .. lol I was 16 then .. . Keep going , you got this ... take all the classes you can especially If the salon offers it. Watch lots of videos and just always try to further your education , youtube college is the shiznit 😁
