I’m an outdoor lover and adventurer who creates content on bikepacking, thru hiking, overlanding, canoeing and Bushcraft.
I recently bought an old Landrover to convert into a tiny home and travel round in which has been an epic journey! Join me on my travels into the wild 💚
I have the Ox Overland Diesel roof tent and the quality on it as absolutely superb, really can't fault the tent whatsoever. But a downside for this _style_ of tent is that it hangs over the vehicle with a ladder coming down permanently as part of the setup. It works totally fine, but I think it restricts where you can realistically deploy it in wild camp scenarios. It attracts a lot of attention and if it is extending passed your vehicle I feel like it could be considered more objectionable if someone comes upon you. Where as, on the other hand, a tent which only takes the footprint of your roof, so is within the confines of your vehicle, is not a lot different from sleeping _in_ the vehicle. Ideally I'd love one where you pop the roof and the whole roof goes up. That's the perfect setup. But they are _very_ expensive.
What ya doing in the Middle East. Sounds interesting. I e been interested in the democratic revolution in Rojava Syria since 2012 - do you know about it. It’s imho the blue print for peace and democracy
Great videos Becky, we really enjoy watching. One question is it safe to cook with coal rather than charcoal ?. Doesn't coal release harmful chemicals into the food.
Hi Becky, great to see you back out enjoying the woods. Join one of the many D2 owners groups. Lander Rover owners are a friendly bunch and are normally to help each other. 😎🇬🇧
Funny this popped up on my discover page, my Landy, also called Percy, has been stuck in garage hell for the last 6 months now for a fuel pump unit 😱hope yours is mostly out of the weeds~
Fantastic film as always, you continue to keep the fire burning for me for when my turn to travel and escape comes next year. Thanks for all you do,keep on making these wonderful films. All the best👍👍👍👍👍
Great videos! With regards to Percy playing up. I would strongly recommend, that you find a diesel specialist. I own a 24 year old diesel campervan. It is always the electric sensors that cause problems. Best advice is to take your time and find an independent diesel specialist garage who have all the old diagnostic computers. These garages can be expensive, but worth it! Just remember most diesel engines have over 100 sensors, so it can be trying to find a needle in a haystack!! Keep those videos coming!
Have you checked out Eva Zu Becks roof tent.. she built it in to her truck with a hole cut in the roof… looks awesome… what happened to your old roof tent?
Seems a long time since I have i seen you, lovely video, I missed you. All the best with everything. Wonder about your sister to, hope she is doing well. Blessings 😊
Nice to see you back out doing a bit of a camp in the woods looked nice where you are sun is out sound of the bird's stay safe and stay healthy one life enjoy blessed be
I converted my 2009 110 Defender to a full on camper (oak interior, library, kitchen, wardrobe/drying cabinet - creature comforts :-) ) but for all I love it and have driven all over Europe and the UK, the one thing that absolutely drives me mad are not the mechanical issues, but the amount of water that gets inside! I’ve got the official Landrover workshop manual “fix water leaks” and I still live in a swimming pool. But for all of that, waking up to some of the views and experiences I have makes all of that just melt away. Freedom I don’t take for granted. Like you say, it’s decompression. It’s about being able to find balance between the work stress and out of hours work stress that comes from stressing about work. Keep up the great videos! And fingers crossed your seals stay sealed!
Becky...your work inspires and enchants so much...that the problems of the journey cannot hide your face that is becoming more beautiful and mature every day...the enchantment that your eyes capture with the shapes and colors of these paths and places that enchant us so much and without envy of what you capture in your beautiful ways... I can only confess my delight for watching your videos and following your work for so long... and being enchanted with each appearance... for noticing in a friend ...all the good transformation that your paths provide you...congratulations...strength and courage...and may each day dazzle us more in being exactly like this...the way you are...
Hey Becky looking super cute and happy. I been contemplating ditching life in an apartment and moving into a vehicle 🙃 my brain is all upside down with the thoughts. Nice looking truck. If you hit Canada again I do hope the time is way more fun. The wild fires on the west coast have been very low this year so far. Burned out from camping 🤣 haha. You’re a funny lady. Cheers
Cute as a button with an adorable accent to boot! What’s not to love? Marry me. I promise I won’t snore in the Rover. 🤣😂. J/k Really great channel and one of the few of this type I consistently watch. It never has that “formula” feel to it. Bravo!
My daughter has gone down the same route with a Discovery. It’s a Land Rover, the best school to teach you mechanics. 😂 Anyway, just discovered your channel. Really enjoyed that. The simple things just can’t be beaten. 👍
