These people have not read anything and do not know what good writing even is. If this film had been written by hack writers , it would have been a big improvement.
@karachaffee3343. This comment is brutal, and I like it. I agree with you. I think that was the point of the film and why it was made. "Look at what I can do out of spite. I'm Zach IDGAF Snyder!" Thank you for your comment and support.
Super geek care, but if I’m not mistaken, it was the machines last ditch Hail Mary to send a terminator back to assassinate the leader of the resistance mother, Sarah Connor, so that their leader would never be born not the other way around
@EricSchleyer You are not alone! It never hit me until recently that it is a love story. For years the franchise has been pushing the save the future, and destroy Skynet angle which is true but the beauty of The Terminator was that, saving humanity was distilled down to first saving Sarah Connor. Sarah Connor loves Kyle Reese. Kyle Reese's sacrifice gives Sarah Connor the extra strength to do what she needs to do, That's the brilliance of James Cameron and Gale Ann Hurd's writing. Thank you for your comment and support.
@ItsXenixo it's a great feeling to be a new fan. It's like exploring a new world or listening to a new genre of music. Thank you for the encouraging comment and welcome to Fallout fellow vault dweller.
@NostalgiaNet8 Thank you for sharing your insights on the topic. I understand that if a studio underperforms than there is only one place for them to go. It just hurts that a studio who has given over 20 years to Sony has been removed from the industry.
No hate... but you should write a script for your rant. I know it's free form or free thought....but it's a bit random. And i know that someone will say something like "well the movie was also random" but still. And i don't mean an actual script but at least a rough outline. That will help with some of the stammering and unintentional pauses. You just didn't seem to be going in a clear direction. It was more of a ramble than a rant. I was at least somewhat distracted by the fact that you were losing your place. I'm only speaking from the perspective of a first time viewer. Check you on the next one. Peace
@jasoncarter1869 I really appreciate the constructive criticism and will take creating a outline under serious consideration. The goal is to always improve and provide an engaging experience. Thank you for the comment and support.
@@yikesreviews I appreciate the response. Seriously, some people take offense. It's always a good sign when a creator is willing to accept criticism, especially when dealing out criticism. And just for a little added context, I'm not a creator. I've just happened to have seen many breakdowns on the topic. It's cool to see how each individual creator puts a unique spin on the breakdown. Just keep doing what you do and keep growing sir.
@geoff.1959 You hit the nail on the head. That is exactly what it is. He has also been given several opportunities and validation by studios like Netflix to churn out less than stellar films. Thank you for your comment and support.
@yuikendal4868 Snyder's films have always been visual fast food. The expectation of Snyder has been can you make this film look cool and get a lot of people to watch it. I think on that metric he has succeeded. However, he has been given validation by his ardent fans and studios that everything he does is acceptable. He struggles when it comes to writing that it takes a toll on his directing capabilities and vice versa. All of these aspects have turned the quality of his recent films from enjoyable visual spectacles to mediocre flights of fancy. Thank you for the great comment and support.
@frankallen3634 I actually like Man of Steel despite its flaws. Henry Cavill had the unfortunate task of working with the material he was given. Cavill believed in the character of Superman but was directed to show the sad, grim, dark side. I would have really loved to see a Man of Steel 2 but alas that ship has sailed. I'm hoping and believing that James Gunn will know how to direct one of the finest Superman movies since Donner's Superman. Thanks for your comment and support.
I don’t think Netflix is going to move ahead with that plan after the first two have been universally panned and generated no buzz or interest. It would be a massive waste of money.
@@kc1john I dont want the actors or production crew to miss out on a opportunity. It just makes me angry that some directors are given so much power and authority. I wonder if they calculate the reprecussions of not being mindful in what they create and how many people depend on them to be successful both critically and commercially. Thank you for the comment.
Tranformers: Revenge of the Fallen gave birth to so many critics we watch today. Jeremy Jahns, Stuckmann, and others. Rebel Moon 2 seems to be that new generation builder. It's universally hated, uniting even the most combative of RU-vid reviewer. So many channels are building off of the awfulness of this film. A new generation born...
@jmsmys13ify Awesome comment by the way! Uniting through awfulness does bring the world together. I think because we can see the potential in what Snyder is trying to do. I admire the fact that Zack did not let Lucasfilm stop him from doing what he wanted to do. However, just because you can do a thing does not mean you should and if you do that thing do it to the best of your abilities. Rebel Moon is not Zack's best and I know he can do better. I'm just waiting to see it. Thank you for your comment and support.
@elin111, I 100% agree with you. If Zack could just chill the eff out and focus on doing one thing at a time, than I think we could see what he can truly be. You need a little ego to be a director imho but I admire confidence over arrogance any day of the week. Right now, we are in the arrogant era. Thank you for your comment and support.
@supersasquatch hope springs eternal. I know there is a good movie in there, I'm skeptical whether a directors cut will prove that out. I just wish the world received the directors cut on day 1. Thanks for your comment and support.
@doublep1980 That actually sounds way more interesting than the film we got. I would have loved to see a movie spoofing Snyder tropes directed by and written by Mel Brooks though. Thank you for your comment and support.
@user-oo3pw8or7t I agree. There is no concept of time in the two films not one that I could decipher. I have no Idea if the events took place in a week a month or multiple years With all the flashbacks included. Maybe because I could not keep my attention on the film long enough to care on the timeline of events. Thank you for your comment and support.
@pelicanpineapple309 I try to be when I can but there were so many times I wanted to step into the darkness of ultra negativity. However, I try to look at both sides. Thank you for your comment and support.
I knew of Beau DeMayo but was not aware of who Charlie Feldman was and that they are also a writer on this series. Was not aware that they wrote this amazing episode. My hats off the Charlie and an incredible job! I'm so happy so many Xmen fans are giving these writers their laurels because they are knocking it out of the box! I did not expect your video to be so moving. What a thoughtful, heartfelt, beautiful way to honor the women in your life. 🖤🤎
@leeharrison8222 Thank you for your beautiful comment. I've re-read it over five times now. This is one of the best comments I have received thus far. I owe everything to the women who molded me into the man I am today. It also helps that they are even bigger X-Men/Storm fans than me. Charlie tapped into a lot of what marginalized people feel when confronted with choosing to step into their own power. Storm is an inspiration to so many people and I'm glad she is finally getting her due. Out of all of the videos I've done this one holds a special place in my heart. 🤎
@chasx7062 This movie hurt me on a spiritual and physical level. Because I could see what Snyder was attempting to do and he was failing at every single opportunity. What did you think of the movie? Thank you for the comment and support by the way.
@rassiniister1152. I think that is all it will take honestly. Zack needs to sit somewhere and find out why he still wants to do movies. What are the things he wants to say or not say. Strip down the bullshit of the past decade or two and get back to the wonder, the heart of film-making. I know there is a film in Zack somewhere I just want to see it and not feel like I wasted my f***ing time. Thank you for your comment and support.
@@yikesreviewsI mean, I attended both premieres and had a fun time with these movies Based off what I’ve been told, the full version of the movies that actually plays out slightly differently in parts is what I’m really looking forward to As far as thinking that you wasted your time, maybe next time you sit down to watch something, don’t act so entitled if you don’t like whatever it is man 🤷♂️ There is an enjoyable movie there and I know many people that liked it, but just remember if you dislike something, that doesn’t make it bad Most movies I’ve watched and not liked, I still always try to see it from the perspective of the director or creators and so always try and take away something positive With the amount of movies I’ve seen, to fundamentally state these movies as ‘garbage’ or the rest of the language the internet throws at movies, shows, sports stars, actors and so on, is just poor in itself In order for a movie to actually be ‘bad’ surely there cannot be redeeming qualities in it? From the music, costumes, VFX work, performances, writing and so on, I can name many things which is redeeming in the production At worst, RM is average, just another average movie/show that gets made
@@user-dm2nx4yu5o You know that's fair, I know this critique is harsh but these are my thoughts on this movie. I'm a fan of Snyder's movie Watchmen which had a mixed reaction as well but has grown steadily over time as one of his strongest offerings. Snyder is a visually evocative director. I can see pieces in the movie that fans would enjoy and I respect that. For me though, I'm left feeling dissatisfied with the movie as it was shown to me. Yeah, there's another cut that MIGHT be better but I am judging on the final product that Netflix premiered. Thanks for your perspective.
@flippert0, I would like to know that as well. Sir Anthony Hopkins is someone who can literally do anything and people will watch it. To reach a point in your career where you can elevate the entire film by your voice is god-tier skill. When he talks I paid attention to the film. I respect Sir Anthony Hopkins and his career choices.
Tony was doing voices of some of his famous characters when he was recording his lines, Snyder told me he’s such a cool guy. I’m guessing you’re asking this in an insulting way as in he’s too good for it? What’s weird is many people I spoke to that was part of the movie were proud of what was made, unfortunately Netflix pitched the idea of making two movies and so we’ve not really seen the actual crazy full movie yet
@@doublep1980 this. I mean, realistically, how long could it have taken him to record like these 11 lines he has in the entire thing? a day? over a zoom meeting?
Like Judi Dench, Hopkins is at the stage of his career where he's a bona fide legend and he's won every award there is. So he's going to relax, goof off and take roles that amuse him or that he thinks the children in his family would like.
Well said, I found myself losing interest in this movie with in the first 30mins and ended up being unable to watch it through. I like Zack Snyders movies but this was something else. Oh and you got my sub✌️
@originallyjohn2196, Thank you very much for the comment and the sub. I was talking with my sister about this movie. How I was so angry, and sad while watching it and they told me that Zack Snyder and James Gunn have somewhat similar styles when it comes to writing and directing. They both worked on Dawn of the Dead so in much the same way they have come up together professionally. However, while one of the pair has gone on to do very well in terms of writing, directing and architecting the next iteration of a comic cinematic universe, the other part of the pair has floundered to reach the same heights. I think there is some small rivalry in Zack and he has not let that battle go where it appears James Gunn is moving on to bigger and better things. I could be wrong but it makes sense. Zack Snyder is a gifted director. He is able to set up a scene quite pleasing visually. However, the basics is what he has trouble with and trying to do too much and his ego is his Achilles heel.
I don't want to hear the "PG-13 or R" lame excuse, ever again. The amount of gore and sex is FAR from the only problems Hack Snyder's movies are infected by. Hack Snyder's #1 problem is Hack Snyder.
@funkyd3321, thank you for your comment. Zack Snyder is definitely his own worst enemy. As someone who used to be and still a fan of his older work, I believe he is capable of far more. If Zack can learn to get out of his way and let go of some of the control he has in the creative process I think we would be off to a great start.
No, Blazing Saddles does not need to be remade, and it certainly couldn't be. Mel remade the Jack Benny vehicle _To Be, or Not to Be_ about thirty-five years after the Benny version, and, unsurprisingly, it was hilarious. He remade his own _The Producers_ as a musical; some viewers considered it to be an improvement, but there could be no improvement to Gene Wilder and Zero Mostel in their respective roles.
@5610winston, thank you for comment and providing some history behind The Producers. I was intrigued to learn about Zero Mostel and did not know all of the events he went through in his life. It is true remaking Blazing Saddles will never capture the impact or quality of what Mel Brooks created. It seems Hollywood is on a remake rampage now more than ever and I fear this movie may be at some point next on the list.
Great review man. As someone who has played all Fallout games, I could add that the series takes stuff straight from the game without feelin out of place . The games and now show use popular and some more obscure songs from around the 1950s which I would've otherwise never listened to or appreciate. Glad someone that wasn't familiar with the games enjoyed it, and that now you are trying the games. You will have a blast with Fallot 4.
@AM-el4iv, its a great feeling when everyo e in the creative process comes together, and gives a damn to make something wonderful like Fallout. You can feel the love and care through the screen. I can feel that same love and care when I'm playing tje game. Thank you for the encouragement and support.
I got a wait and see attitude on this one. It feels so over the top that it "ISN'T" what the shows about or the creators saw bamboozled and wanted to prove it right. It's nice to read people are tired of the ads depiction, hopefully it is not what the show turns out to be. Actually, it's this exact attitude or mental cycle that made me feel turned off about the show. PS: Also I like the art style, it had potential, it just needed better line work and the right animation to match it. Some of the shots/angles in the trailer are nice and it would have been nice to see it pushed further.
@AchakBrooks. I appreciate your opinion a great insights. Specifically regarding the animation. I agree that the line work needed to be beefed up in some way, I'm personally not connected to the style and concept. Thank you for your comment and support. I really appreciate your perspective.
