Great video brother and I just subscribed to your channel. Also, I recommend selecting the FedEx or UPS shipping option that they have instead of USPS because you have a better chance of getting your package lost through the regular post office. That being said I’m just been in this hobby for about six months and I’ve already noticed SGC has been getting a little stricter with their grading or seems that we at least, but maybe it’s because my first order came back really good
@@michaeldenzer6024 Eeek! If you haven't, start taking pics and videos for documentation. Unfortunately I've been seeing it more often from cards in slabs sent in my direction. SGC though be careful as their criteria is different. Not super surprising on the downgrades on a cross but make sure your SGC cards have good corners and edges before shooting them off to PSA. I did a pretty big case study of 109 SGC 9.5's and 10s and was incredibly surprised at the amount of issues I was able to find.
Hey Frosty. Always enjoy your video. Congrats on Calvin Johnson 10. Have you noticed more damages done by PSA lately? I’m gonna have to take your advice and take pics of cards before sending in because I swear they come back with damages that didn’t exist previously.
@RobShim Hey Rob, I've gotta say I've only ever run into PSA damaging my cards during the slabbing process maybe less than a handful of times in the last 4 years or so until the 6 months. Everytime a random 5 or 6 come back I'll look at my inspection videos again then inspect the slab and see the same slabbing indents as I did on the Jordan in the example of this video. It's hard to deny the mark when it's literally in the same shape as the slab holder. I would 100% take the time to do a full video scan of your card in case you need to try and work with PSA and proving to them that it happened during their process.
@@frostyfeetcards I know brother I have a huge pile too. Maybe it's kind of like an insurance policy at least it is graded PSA 10 and something whatever happened to you not saying that it's going to LOL but at least your family will be able to send it to DC Sports 87 and get the most out of it
I absolutely love your reveals man. I swear you're the only one that doesn't get all worked up when you don't get a 10. Crazy thing is you predict on target on almost everything. Keep these coming!
More 10s then 9s. Sucks we lost the coin flips we really wanted to win haha. Thanks regardless my brotha! Congrats to everyone who won their coin flips

30:00 LMAO. The PSA 6 "Dong Print" is what I will be calling it now when I get the mysterious random 6. All seriousness though, that is criminal because based on the rest of that card it looks like it could've been an 8.
I could give a rat's ass what standards are used, etc...what is concerning is that the card got different grades when they are supposed to be using a.i., etc to come up with their grades...that type of grading should yield the same results, otherwise what is the point of using a.i.
@armandomgomezjr5197 Hi! Tough to answer that question here on the Tube but feel free to DM on Instagram @frostyfeetcards or FB Messenger: Chunning Tatum
Unless u think you can bump by 2 grades, I see no reason to crack from PSA and submit to SGC. Most cards will still be worth less even if they bump 1 grade hi b her. I don't think the difference between an SGC 10 Purdy and a PSA 10 is as much as you think.
It's enough for my customer to want to try and sometimes it's not about the dollar. And it's a preference at the end of the day. Some folks sometimes even prefer a lower grade from PSA and are willing to crack a higher grade BGS or SGC slab. If your preference is a 2 grade bump then by all means. Do you mean SGC 10 and PSA 9 on the Purdy?

Thanks for the TCG inspection video. I was especially looking forward to looking at how you see corners that aren’t really corners 😁. The miscut corners that didn’t show paperloss were giving me the most trouble. I’m not gonna send any that have untrue radius’s on the corners anymore. Even though there are PSA 10’s listed on eBay that have have funky corners.
I tell Kevin that all the time that every time you decide you want to send one of those, it's an immediate coin flip and Pokemon 9's don't resell well. Cheers Tim and thanks! Should have some Lorcana soon too.
Wait, Frosty grades his own cards? 😁Congrats your cards guys. No one can make claims on if a company changes their grading criteria on a small 20-40 sample size. Way too many variables. Know what the grading companies are looking at and trust your system. Even watching these videos is not enough. No offense to frosty, he gives us looks at cards that no one else on RU-vid does. But you gotta see them in person for yourself and learn from your mistakes. Or pay Mr frost to do it for you 😁 Another great video dude. Keep it rolling. And grade more of your own stuff. We want to see it and you deserve it.
Thanks man! Agreed, even through my lense it is still a different lense and nothing replaces card in hand inspections. And understanding the criteria of each company is pretty much the biggest step in finding any success.
Yup they tightened for sure. Not being whiny. They rejected half my order this week when they graded them before (called cs at SGC and they said they have been ordered to be more cautious and reject). Cards were graded but encapsulation rejected. Like I said, same cards they graded on my previous order a month ago.
I called SGC as well and they said nothing has changed so maybe we're all getting a mixed bag of responses. This is the 3rd straight order for my guys in row with solid grade bumps.
"Not being whiny"... Then proceeds to whine. Just because they graded your cards a month ago and apparently cracked them out and regraded them with different results or rejections doesn't mean anything because there is no context outside of how you feel about it. I've never heard of SGC grading a card then refusing to encapsulate it. Do you know how each card looks in fine detail? Or just took a shot in the dark for grade bumps?
Your videos actually make me realize how much I whine as well. Thanks for the reality check. When I think about it, some of the cards I've sent, I've already spent the Gem Mint money and when it comes back a 9 I just get mad and blame the grader for having a shit day and taking it out on me out of all people. You should charge for card grading therapy sessions🤣. I feel like I really needed to hear this.
