Nuts! It's noteworthy that the owner told me that this was originally graded during the SGC $9 Special and thought they might have just been crushing through orders. Some of these when they were cracked out of the 10 slabs we're mind blowing in terms of issues.
Their criterias are different. Not so much that they’re laxed generally. PSA seems to be extremely tough on corners and edges compared to SGC. Also surface indentation would drop PSA to automatic 7 and under but SGC gives it 8.5. Anything with corners or indentation, do not send to PSA even if it’s minor. I learned my lesson the hard way. Also, it could just be random thing, I’ve noticed quite a few of my cards came back with flaws that didn’t exist at the time of submission.
@RobShim Great breakdown and I 100% agree. It's just different. There's cards with indents on the back that I'd never send to PSA but found SGC to be very forgiving. As far as PSA damaging cards, it's unfortunate but it does happen. I just wish they'd tell you instead of slabbing it anyway like nothing happened.
