By the way when you say children slept in his bedroom , yes but you do realize his bedroom was 2 stories right lol ? Literally a apartment size bedroom
Who’s here after hearing that Shailene Woodley will produce and star as the legendary late soul singer Janis Joplin in a finally-long waited musical drama biopic film about her life & career? Hope they name it “Piece of My Heart” or maybe “Pearl”. Give the film a 2hrs or maybe 3hrs long if needed. Who should direct, write & produce the film? Which studios should distribute the film? 20th Century Studios (formally 20th Century Fox), Fox Searchlight Pictures, Universal 🌎 Pictures, Paramount 🏔️ Pictures, Warner Bros Pictures, or Sony Pictures/ Columbia Pictures or TriStar Pictures? I sure do wish & hope singer-songwriter Pink, at least, appear in the film. Probably playing a different character since she’s also a huge Janis fan herself. Maybe she could play her mother at least.
Napoleon with the dairy judges: This one tastes like bleach. Dairy guy: Correct Napoleon: This one tastes like an onion patch. So many quotable dialog throughout the film. Bahahaha
The greatest rock band ever! What a team. Peter was just as much Led Zep as Page, Plant, Jones, and Bonham were. Peter Grant was one mean dude. It's the reason Led Zep never got ripped off. They say Peter was never shy about using his fists to get what he wanted. The man is a legend.
I love Fountains of Wayne !! If you want to check out my guitar versions of some of my favorite FoW-songs and Chris Collingwood's solo project, here's the link: ru-vid.com/group/PLCAo5V5GNNG-MKWulfyX3BKWwTfx-Sy8M
This topic has been bugging me now and then my life. As a serial music listener, I sometimes wonder what it takes to turn out on someone's Spotify. And it really sad, how unfair this industry is. And how singers could at least sometimes aknoledge people behind them and maybe make a fair share of money with them, I don't think they would become less richer after that. But also I think songwriters should accept the reality and try to perform their own songs if it nearly possible for them. I personally lose interest for artists when I learn that they are not self made and just perform. I really like personality and background of lyrics, that makes me buy a record, not only to listen to it.
We saw it in July 2004 in San Diego, winning free tickets from the radio station. We had absolutely no idea what it was about, only saw the movie poster outside the theater. But we loved it & laughed our asses off. He’s right about so many one-liners, I still hear people saying them now, 20 years later!
Following a show somewhere in 1986-88, I was hanging out behind the venue (The Boathouse in Norfolk, Virginia) with some buds. When the band came out I looked at Joey and said “Great show, Joey.” He looked right at me and replied “Fuck off.” The single coolest moment of my life. I will never be cooler.
I had the newspaper article at that time. Headon wasn't fired ! Because of his herion addiction charge, the judge gave him 2 choices either A . Quit the Clash and go on probation or B. Go to jail Headon chose option 1 to quit so he would not end up in prison.
My favorite song by the police was so lonely, but I think I just outgrew it because I’m not in my guitar hero 5 stages anymore but it would have to be every breath you take because it’s the ultimate stalker song. I only use that song for jokes anyway.
If you understand music , then you know how hard it is to sell 100k copies first week , especially in todays time … Mike was selling 1 million copies a week wen people had to go and buy it in stores . This isn’t normal and it will never be duplicated. From off the wall till his last album , he didn’t sell under 20 million … 20 MILLION COPIES sold on the down side of his career , if a artist sells that today , that person would be the most famous musician on earth . Mike did that shit like it was candy
i have known a country singer who could do so many different styles sad songs happy songs angry songs and funny songs dark songs light songs weird songs he was amazingly versatile
A solid, comprehensive video of their rise, peak, fall, and post-Beatles careers, but no mention of how they actually changed rock and roll. I won’t fault the video for chronicling their meteoric career and success, but to call your video “how the Beatles changed music” but not note how the Beatles influenced songwriting and musical composition is a bit of a letdown to their legacy. A solid video, but not what I was expecting from the title (and perhaps that is on me for wanting a breakdown of their influence on chord progressions, international influence, and lyrics. 7/10 video, but left me wanting MUCH more. Which isn’t a bad thing.
your narration is hard to listen to, so many cuts and so much emphasis on every other word, i wanna like the vids and I'm interested in the topic but can't remember the last time i was put off by someone's speaking pattern.
