Hello, nice video. I opened a cdi unit just like this. I see a 14pin chip inside. Sx195 190141. Maybe an IC. I searceh the internet and i is nowhere to be found. Do you have any idea what this is or an name of code of the same alternative ? Thanx
Such are special code number chips. Sometimes they could be programmable microcontrollers with specially written firmware and uncommon number code on them. Unfortunately they aren't easily available.

wait what, *series regulaor* is triac which is not even in battery circuit, battery only has single diode, even on pcb you can see 2 terminals of connector are only to dioede. , iwhat am i missing?
Thank you so much for providing such a detailed and thorough explanation. I now understand not only how to test a CDI but also how to make or repair one. Thank you!
Good vedio but it is explanatory regarding thread type shocks but it would be great if you can do a video on a shock that is not thread type. Because here I have a big doubt how it's in the other type (non threaded type )as here the seal is secure in the threaded top and the central guide rod bushing is plush with seal along with O ring forming the roof of the compression chamber and the base valve form the bottom or the floor but it is not understood how the seal is secure in the non threaded shock, is held flush against the central guide rod bushing? before the edges are made into a collar by hammering above the seal. I just want to understand if the seal is supported by the central bushing in a flush manner
How much voltage an AC CDI recieves from magneto? Also, can I run an AC CDI on 12V 50Hz AC step down transformer for my project??? (I want continuous sparks at the spark plug)
You are a genius bro I’m gonna have ago at the weekend with that adjuster screw my two new horns are supposed to 300db but only read 110db when operated together, Thanks
There is no way a horn can produce 300 db. The loudest sound ever recorded was 310 db. It was a volcano. Do you really think a tiny horn can produce that level of sound?
@@echoesmourn3108 I don’t know what they produce, I just see them advertised on eBay, they all look the same but have similar descriptions and different specifications I just bought some at 300db but they only produce 110db so if that screw adjust doesn’t work then people on eBay are full of it aren’t they
Meu irmão, não há legendas em português, por isso não entendi bem o que fizeste. Gostaria de entender pois estou com relógio apresentando o mesmo defeito. A imagem também não me ajuda pois assisto pelo celular. Obrigado. 🇧🇷
Thank you for the video. I need to make a homemade DC CDI for a motorcycle. I'm trying to understand how DC CDI alter the spark timing. Some of them have two trigger coils, one advanced and one at TDC. Somehow the CDI box switches to the advanced trigger at a certain rpm. Other designs only use one trigger coil and they advance the timing as rpm increase by some electronic means. Do you have any videos explaining this? Is there a book I can read? I really want to understand how that works.
Japan is has great C.D.I. units but they fail and replace them with China C.D.I. units that are crap but seem to last. It seems that another country can come in an undercut China crap and Surpass Japan in quality at the same time. Say India could do it and become the go to country for replacement C.D.I. and Stater replacements. This magic place could charge the same as China but if the unit is better than Japan then its easy to choose. Worse that could happen is China takes the foot off the back of the neck of manufactures and let them make quality products for once. Fine China could mean quality again and not an ironic joke.
@@JahanZeb1976 I was merely saying that I am watching the video because I have a CDI problem and not because I like to watch videos about CDI boxes but I get the message. I will not watch your poor quality video anymore.
Yo brainiack your plug diagram needs The Alt. & coil switched black/yellow strip is going directly to the coil and is located top center not top right, Thank your love how You got me started U just drew diagram to fast brainiack is just a pun LOL
Hi, my dear friend . I want to wind the small bobbin for my kawasaki 250 motocross. The big bobbin is healthy, but I don't know how many turns there are in the coil of the small bobbin and what is the size of the wire. Please help me to fix it.
Nostalgic feeling with vintage sanyo flashlights. Still i have 3 of these nl-1000n yellow models. This model came with 230V. For USA sanyo made nl-5360 with 110V (US plug). Same model. But black colour. For australia sanyo made nl-1000 with AU plug. Its also black. All it have sanyo cadnica batteries with 700mAh each. These flashlights have single diode half wave charging system. By that time 2.4V krypton bulb is not so available in the market. This torch have it. Old good days. Golden times. SANYO is the pioneer of rechargeable flashlights. Believe it or not these flashlights are not so bright. But by that time it is sufficient to do usual things. This is my favourite flashlight.
