Have you had any other suspension issues since this installation? I have 2015 f150 5.4l can't decide on 2in or 2.5in really want 0 rake worried if I go 2in I'll still have some if I go 2.5 worried about suspension later on any advice?
Still rubs at full lock. Especially in reverse. Other than that it seems to be fine. I’ve driven my truck from Connecticut to California and back twice with these on. Trucks drives great with them. 🤙🏼
This was annoying as hell to watch. Dude acts like a toddler. If you want good customer service, and the quality, aestheticly pleasing part you desire then don’t be cheap. If you deal with the Chinese your going to get burned. By American or quit bitching
Thanks for the video. Wondering what size tires you have and suspension. Are you running spacers? I have the same wheels and I’m looking to change the tires.
I’m putting 33” tires on mine next summer, but I still think stock wheels with those spacers look great. Some don’t realize when you have too big of wheel spacers, it changes the handling of your truck (bad way). The wheels are meant to be up and under the truck not the sides. That’s why I think what you got is great.
I replaced my rear brakes on our 2018 Lariat with 34k miles. Rears normally last me 75K to 100K miles. The video showed a pad that was full sized to the mount because it had warn down farther than mine. The real Stock pad is about 1/2 the size for 3/4’s of the thickness then goes to full size. The Dura-Last I replaced them with are full thickness for the entire pad. I took one to the dealership that services my truck, (oil changes) and asked the writer I always used about the pads. He had never seen the steps in thickness but said rears are now wearing our fast because the braking system has been changed to apply the rears first to keep the truck level when stopping instead of nose dipping like the past. Take the info for what ever it’s worth…
I have the same truck same color same rims with larger tires! Thanks for the vid I was debating on 1.5 and 2 inch. Thanks bro deff grabbing a set of 2 in hub centric spacers
I’m leveled with 20x10 -18 offset and 275/55r20 Rubs a little. Putting on some 33 12.50s today and cutting mine. It’s not going to effect your insurance unless maybe you cut the rear ones off and the tire comes into the cab and hurts a passenger that sues you. Other than that you would be fine in my state
Good video. I used to live in WI. Same horrible salt and/or ice melt liquid spread on the highways that creates HUGE amount of rust on all vehicles. I just started doing rear pad replacement on my '18 F150 and ran into the electronic e-brake headache of not being able to push the piston back in. This helped tremendously. It is also an examaple of why I hate all of the new electronic crap on newer vehicles.
I did the same leveling kit on mine and for some reason it keeps messing up my lower control by joints in my passenger side CV boot axle. It rips the boot and all the police comes out
That’s very interesting. From the research I’ve done, once you go above 3” lift kit you need the drop control arms. If you’re having those angle issues you may need the drop upper control arm 🤙🏼
I buy a lot from ebay and this was the only issue I’ve had. I do a lot of research before committing. This one I know I did take that chance. But it did work out in my favor 🤙🏼
HEY JOE DID YOU FIND OUT IF SWAPPING THE SHOCKS RIGHT SIDE TO LEFT SIDE ELIMINATES THE NEED TO ROTATE THE TOP HAT 180? I'M ABOUT TO DO THIS ON MY 2022 F150 AND THEY SHOW COMPRESSING THE SPRING AND ROTATING THE TOP HAS 180. THANKS!
I've seen videos where they say you can swap the struts from left to right, but the lower mount orientation will face the opposite side, so the bolts will be at he opposite angle, in this video he didn't show the 180 degree re orientation so we didn't see if he rotated the upper mount ot the lower mout to fit the control arm.
If you use the backside of a piece of sand paper with water in a circular motion on the base coat when it's dry it's known as "color sanding". That gets rid of those imperfections of tiny dimples and scratches. Then you paint one more final coat of paint. Then the clear coat is applied and you repeat that Color Sanding method with the clear coat as well. Back side of sand paper (smooth side) wet sand the dried clear coat layer and finish up with a last coat of clear. That's the professional way to make anything of you vehical look like a factory finish. Or better.
I'm doing this install this weekend. Question did you have aftermarket upper control arms or are they stock? Because i see a few comments on Amazon that the level blocks put the stock upper control arms in a angle that hit the coil springs and needed to purchase aftermarket control arms.
