I got 5 months out of mine and it's buggered. I'm getting a refund. I'm so used to almost everything I buy failing I now always keep the original sales receipt and packaging. Lucky I did. The thing is, I now have to buy another headtorch. How long is that going to last? You can't get a win. The inconvenience, I just want to buy something and it work for a change. You pay for quality but you don't get quality. What's going on?
Hi...just come across this channel..thanks for the review. I dont think moisture would come through the tent floor material like that because i have the Salewa Sierra 2 and that doesn't happen with that...are you sure you didn't take the moisture in with your knees or feet ??????? Most bath tub floors in todays tents can sit in puddles without any water ingress and Salewa is a very good company that has been around for many years and you get that typical good German quality too in all their products.
No, I mean I stuff it in my backpack but it takes up about as much room as you’d expect a jacket of that size to take up. I’ve only just got it, tested it for breathability but not waterproof yet. Breathability was “ok”, 15,000 cfm rating seemed accurate and decent mechanical venting. It is a beefy jacket.
Whats ur wrist size ? i have skinny 6.5inch wrist currently using FR 255s thinking to get fenix 6 pro solar too considering price drop .. will it be too big n heavy ?
I've the odin 9 world's jacket and had for nearly 3 years. It has only just lost its waterproofing after really solid wear on dartmoor, in really harsh, wet, British weather. Really great jacket. Wouldn't mind this new one!
Great video guys! Hard to think of anything else we bring. One of our mini essentials is some sort of lip balm as mine dry out really fast in the cold. And a dry pair of socks for the end of a hike - changing the socks really helps warm the body up and feel good again, even if the rest of our gear is still wet and muddy! 😊
Nice and great quality jacket but this color picks up dirt quite easily and remember every time you wash it, you're likely losing one layer of waterproof coating. I know because I've owned one.
Great video! Dose it keep you warm even when you are not moving? Let's say, you are camping in the mountains and it gets chilly, does it keep you warm too? Or it performs better while hiking?
How does the toe box compare to the Altra. I have just purchased Altra Timp 4, but also thinking about the Speedgoat 4 to compare. I like the wide toe box because on a long hike they are very comfortable.
I just got it and honestly, I'm not impressed at all for a $ 700 jacket. I like the idea that the fabric is waterproof without having to add chemicals, but I still thimk that Arctery'x Sabre AR is way better quality jacket.
@@sleepings4596 I was looking at this jacket but HH only has a 2yr warranty compared to patagonia, mountain hardware, and arc that have lifetime warranties. With the pro deal it is still on the same price range but with the new tech I am not sure how durable it will be. You could be left buying a new jacket every few years if you want to use it as a rain jacket.
@@jamesrauch218 Not sure that’s correct. I had a Helly Hansen odin mountain jacket that was 3 or 4 years old I sent it in and I got 550.00 credit from them That was a few years ago when o did that though
