The Eagles Kelly green from the Michael Vick picture was to honor the 1960 champion Eagles the Kelly green we brought back this year was from the late 80s and early 90s
There are a number of other issues to consider 1) season timeframe in relation to weather, 2) which rules or a merger of rules 3) three or four downs 4) stadium capacity 5) regional population. Clearly most Canadian teams cannot play football December through February as most stadiums are not domed. The issue of what rules would said merger be played by? Most Canadian fans prefer the three down system which makes for faster open game. Most Canadian stadiums are too small. Drawing an audience has been an issue in the Canadian game and the proposed Schooners team would need to draw a fan base from at least four provinces to be viable even in the CFL. Your idea is fanciful. I like the idea of a Bombers Vikings in the same division. That would make a great new rivalry. Still, all in all, this is a pipe dream at best.
The Patriots will never go back to Pat Patriot logo full time. They were a terrible franchise during that era. We suck now. Maybe we should go back to Brady era uniforms. Anyway my favorites are the 95-99 Bledsoe era uniforms.
Ravens: white away jersey with black numbers and black pants. Cowboys: 1995 white with navy sleeves/star, silver pants & helmet Rams: 2002 GSoT Away uniforms Vikings: 2024 “Winter Warriors” white helmet with all white uniforms Raiders: 2009 white jersey with silver numbers and silver pants Giants: white jersey with red numbers and grey pants Jets: 2019 off-white helmet with all green uniforms Steelers: Colorrush (black jersey with gold numbers and black pants with gold stripe) Titans: 2001 white jersey with navy pants and white helmet Commanders: 1970’s gold helmet with gold pants Falcons: 1998 white jersey with red numbers and champagne pants Jaguars: 2009 white jersey with black numbers and black pants Seahawks: 2015 Nike white jersey with grey pants
I don't know much about the other leagues, but since the NFL is the more well known and popular I think the rules will be heavily towards the NFL, although I'm sure some rules from the other leagues would be thought about and considered.
I am one who agrees with you on the Giants color rush. Honestly I probably agree with all of these besides two or three. And of those two or three, I still think they're solid uniforms in the team's closet.
I hate the Rams' new uniforms almost as much as I hate their new logo. Sure, the colors are cleaner and they really pop, but I like the faded navy ones with the gold numbers from the St. Louis area better. Something about them pairs well with the Rams name and the logo from that time, a rough and tumble one that looks like it's game-worn even when it's brand new.
I actually really liked the Jets look of the last 5 years, but I knew I was probably in the minority and that long-time Jets fans would struggle to identify with those uniforms. I'm not shocked that they're already moving on from them.
8:12 Rebook didn't make those. It was Nike. Back in the 90's there wasn't an exclusive brand (like how Nike is the exclusive brand for uniforms now). There were teams with Nike Branding, Adidas, New Era (I think), and Rebook. Nike made those uniforms. Then when Rebook got the exclusive branding in the 2000's; they just slapped their brand the jerseys Nike already made.
So if it hasnt been mentioned already with the CFL's Us expansion here's what happened: Played an exhibition game in Portland, OR to test the market, 17,000 attended, no ownership bids emerged in Portland. The San Antion Riders and the Sacremento Surge of the suspended WLAF were approved to defect to the CFL, being re-branded as the Sacremento Gold Miners and the San Antonio Texans. The Texans dropped out the day of the intended press conference to officially announce the new teams due to an ownership dispute. The Gold Miners agreed to join the CFL for the 93 season anyway, even though they were nearly 900 miles away from their nearest opponents. They were unfamiliar with Canadian rules and were basically learning on the fly. Finished with a 6-12 record but respectable attendance of nearly 18,000 per game. In 94 Baltimore, The Las Vegas Posse and The Shreveport Pirates joined. The Pirates were a sort of relocation, Bernard Glieberman had publically discussed his plans to move the Ottawa Roughriders to the US but instead the league allowed him to sell the team minus 5 players of his choice and he was granted a new franchise. The Pirates did terrible on field, but attracted nearly 14,000 per game in a small market. The Las Vegas Posse failed badly. The team became infamous for several ingamously bad promotional tactics and had trouble bringing in fans, to the point only 2,350 attended their final home game. They nearly folded mid-season due to massive loses and the league was forced to move their week 18 game from Vegas to Edmonton because of poor pre-sales. Furthermore playing summer football in Vegas proved to be a problem due to the high temperatures in the area. Baltimore was a huge success, over 37,000 fans per game. The owner marketed then as a revival of the NFL's Baltimore Colts and wanted to name them the Baltimore CFL Colts, however the NFL filed an injunction on him 2 weeks before the season started, thus they played without a team nickname. But still played excellent and qualified for the grey cup game (which they narrowly lost) The league convinced Nick Meletti to try to sell the Posse rather than just folding up shop, An ownership group emerged looking to move them to Jackson, Mississippi and the league pre-approved but the deal fell through. Another Jackson group emerged and the league again pre-approved but later recinded it as they didnt believe Jackson was a big enough TV market to be viable. The Posse would suspend operations while Milleti continued to look for a new owner. Sacremento's attendance dropped, it's owner blamed it on the stadium not being up to professional standards but failed to get funding for a new facility so the team moved to San Antonio and became the San Antonio Texans. The 1995 season saw 2 expansion teams: The Birmingham Baracudas and the Memphis Hound Dogs. Both had similar issues: due to the CFL's summer/fall schedule they had to compete with college football in the area and we're unsuccessful. Memphis also later faced a problem as their stadium could barely contain a CFL sized field and technically couldnt because it was discovered mid-season the grounds crew made an error and marked the yards too short. So they were playing Canadian football on an American football field essentially. Baltimore lost the case to the NFL and renamed themselves the Stallions. Late in the season it was announced the NFL's Cleveland Browns were moving to Baltimore, as a result support for the Stallions dried up fast despite thr fact they went on to win the grey cup. The Shreveport Pirates had their franchise revoked due to Bernard Glieberman's financial problems. The Memphis Mad Dogs folded after the league refused their proposal to change the rules to make it more similar to American football Birmingham Baracudas owner Arthur Williams tried to sell the team to a group called TEX-ARK-LA football who planned to move the team to Shreveport as a new Pirates franchise, but the league rejected it concerned over the group's finances and the low sale price set off red flags. Jim Speros knew he would have to move out of Baltimore because the Stallions couldnt compete with the NFL, San Antonio Owner Fred Anderson proposed he move to Houston (The Oilers were about to move to Tennessee) but instead he accepted the league's proposal and moved to Montreal and revived the Alouettes. Anderson didnt want to be the only American franchise in the league again and wasnt convinced there were any viable markets left in Canada, so he folded the team. In a last ditch effort to save the US experiment, a group emerged buying the remnants of the Posse and staged an exhibition in Miami, intended to start a team there called the Miami Manatees. Attendance was only modestly successful and so the league decided not to go ahead with it.
@sportsmanlikemisconduct most unis were. Then Nike decided to give us monstrosities with Cleveland, Denver (God bless them) Jets last unis, Tampa Bay, Atlanta (please go back the red or the black ones from the Dirty Birds era) Jags etd
We need to come on with a petition to the NFL to bring back the color rush uniforms for the entirety of next year I love them so much I don't understand why they got rid of them
I didn't agree with all of the choices, but you obviously have a taste for the all white/all black looks which i can respect. I had to like the video just for the idea itself, its awesome to listen to people rank uniforms and just things about the NFL in general
@@Jdvdsnn Thanks! As far as the Chargers uniforms go, I can rock with both of those. I dig the ones from '03. I'd like to see them introduce a navy helmet and pair it with their current alternates instead of just the white helmet and navy bolt.
One of my favorite things in the world is when people sit there and be confidently incorrect. You have some serious misconceptions about who designed what uniforms and what years these things happen. The all white color Rush for the Bengals definitely happen under Nike, not Reebok You made errors like that all through this video
It's honestly crazy that you didn't bother to research any of this, you just sat down and started blabbing about a bunch of stuff you don't know anything about apparently. Why would I want to watch your channel?
@@joeyyoho3670 Appreciate the corrections. I got inspiration from a few other videos and websites and used that as research material. Apprently the research didn't go deep enough and I can acknowledge that now. No one is making you watch my channel though, You're free to watch anyone else🤝
That would work. When playing in Canada all cfl rules. Both league go to 12 man though. The bigger field for all. It would be great football to watch. Don’t be fooles and think nfl teams would dominate. All the cfl guys most have played in nfl.
