Hi there. I couldn't quite get where you said you'd like to live - I thought for a minute you were saying Broome, which of course is in WA. Could you clarify? Good luck in your RU-vid 'retirement'. I get where you're coming from - I've been a photographer all my life, which is consuming enough when I travel. Last time around, on a trip through the Middle East, Nepal and India I decided to do some video as well - what a nightmare! Between the two I felt a total slave to the cameras and it sucked a lot of the enjoyment out of the trip. I swore I'd never do it again and will just stick to my stills photography from now on.

Always good to have a home base to come back to as travelling is a busy lifestyle. You should rethink You Tube we just make videos when we feel like it and never worry about subscribers or anything but just use the platform as a place to put our videos for our kids and friends to watch. You are going into a new chapter and you might feel at times things you would like to share. You Tube and having to supply a video every week takes away the fun of travel and turns it into a job which why people get tired of You Tube. Keep your options open....
