Hi Guys I in Melbourne Australia were going to look at all different things as i like to do lost of different things like. Earth moving, Excavator, Topcon GPS System, Game play, Simulator Flying, Simulator Racing, Cooking Australian, Cooking Italian. Come enjoy my channel and stay for a wile.
The presenter was shooting through the guide as though he was busting to get out of there. Was he on a promise? All I learnt was that I would need a detailed run through by someone who wasn't in a hurry to go home. I'm not a newbie to these types of systems. I've been in a coal mine for 14 years using an APS system for the first 3 or 4 years, then Leica for the next 10 years. I'm very familiar with computers and GPS systems, so I could easily work it out, but someone else may be just scratching their head.
Thank you for the videos, can make a tutorial or send me an email explaining how to connect the Antena of a grader using the GX55 with a base Hiper VR with UHF? Thank you
He said 10mm vertical error per km from the GPS base station (not the radio or mobile comm tower). Thats what I have seen too from other sources. Great to hear it from someone else and in such a clear way. RTK GPS spec sheets say 1 or 2mm/km from GPS base station which maybe true for horizontal accuracy but is bullcrap for vertical accuracy.
So just a question, the top con connects to the Telstra tower or base station and then from there connecting to the satellites, so if you were closer to the base station the accuracy would be much better. I’m assuming that’s how it works, your mushrooms connect to the tower and then from the tower connects to the satellites and then triangulates you’re exact location??
Do you realize if, we that are watching your videos, have never used this or any system similar you are not explaining in detail as to what you are doing. You have a well spoken instructor, but for newbies you need to show the boom, bucket ect. in real life as you slowly touch the buttons. To me the instructor is showing that he and you know how to configure and set, but not us! For instance I have seen the system enough in real life to understand what is being done when setting the bucket alignment point. But someone that has not been familiarized with the system has to be clueless. Please slow down and explain!
I have a question seeing how you already familiar with this hardware do you envision this could be used to setting Marine poles for piers and docks? Appreciate any input thank you very much
Thanks for putting this video up helped alot Don't no topcon haven't got a tutorial like this when you buy a system having trouble with my one What was the tech's name and what state Cheers Gavin
Mate are you able to put together some video for Trainee Surveyors or on how to use the Topcon GPS and Trimble Total Stations together and how to use each one of them.
Hi Steven. I would not take your money, this was done to help people like you and me. when i started i new very little about Gps. Just rewind the video a few times and you will get it. its not hard when you have the basics. All The best.
Great Video, I think what may of happened when you fought that Roll calibration was this... Your smart level was probably set to percent of slope and the Topcon screen was measuring degrees.
Hi Jon, I am glad to help. When i was looking at Topcon I could not find much Info, That 's why i did the Videos to help other people knowing that there was not much info out there. I have found Topcon to be a very good system and easy to use, It will make your Job mush easier . All the Best.
