this show should be called "Spice Girls go to high school (on drugs)", they even have them all: Posh (Lexi), Ginger (Kat), Scary (Maddy), Baby (Cassie) and Sporty (Rue)...
He is a predator. He totally calculated that move as soon as he saw her. What a way to get back at Maddie. Cassie was a pawn. She was just too easy to manipulate.
A lot of people like their partner having all control during intercourse, and that's fine, but this is just her saying that he can do it whenever he wants and she has to listen and if it's not something she likes, she still has to do it

Hearing her talk about her own death and seeing her mother and sisters reactions is gut wrenching ….especially considering the sister lost her dad and the mother lost her husband. They don’t want to lose a sister/daughter either.
Been an addict with addict relationships for over 20 years. And watching this scene done by people so young brought me to tears. This shit is grit and hauntingly real. And caused a physical reaction to someone twice their age.
This show is so well made. Cassie's self care is an obsession for nate, and as it rises, the self care also becomes violent. How precisely that is presented. It's mind boggling.
First things first, her mom is unavailable (not only here but in general), second, yeah, Cassie needs therapy, and third, Lexi is just an observer who didn't experience anything yet she gives herself the right to judge others (I'm not defending Cassie here, speaking in general) even tho she was never in situations like this herself
Are we ignoring that the mum is a literal alcoholic who doesn't seem to care much for her daughters except to shout at them? How is she allowed to judge her daughter's when she's a wreck herself
