Hi guys, my name is Andy and I run a small plumbing & heating business in Rotherham, South Yorkshire. I have created some step by step video guides for some simple plumbing jobs that will hopefully save you a call out fee in the future.
I have tried to make the videos as easy to follow as possible and I only recommend someone who is confident in carrying out these kinds of jobs.
Always get a professional if you don’t feel confident as it will be a lot cheaper in the long run if you cause any damage to your property.
So enjoy and let me show you how to get the job done!
I have in my house ideal logic 12 boiler installed but now when I start it to get get hot water with in few seconds it gives a huge louder sound noise and after20 seconds it stops the noise can you solve my problem
usually there is no need to put tape on the olive unless there is a leak. a compression fitting is designed such that there is no need to use any tape.
When removing a rad knowing you are using a new rad with new lock shield and trv....couldn't i just iso the exsiting TRV and lockshield undo the drop down to the copper tails and remove a rad withte fittings still on that way without spilling the shit inside? After emptying the system of course
Moved few months ago and I have the very same boiler fitted 2015(both of my valves on the loop are black coloured though. Does anybody know the span life on those boilers and whether it matters which valve you open first?
I have the same set up but my right black valve is not linked to the blue one so no water enters to add pressure. Did the boiler installer take the loop away?
What happens when this fault reads but there is still pressure in the system? My boiler is reading 1.5 bar yet this fault comes up. I’ve had the pressure sensor changed but it still happen. Any help would be brilliant. Thanks!
Thanks Andrew, that was very helpful. We have the older system the same as the one you used for your demonstration. So, it was 'plain sailing'. I will note the date of when added .6 bar to bring it to 1.5 bar as you recommended and check it again in a weeks time. 😀
What to do if the pressure meter is showing the right pressure 1.5. But my kitchen sink hot water is so low I can't even use it because it is just a little water. Upstairs is fine to the bathroom, but the problem is only in the kitchen. Thank you 😊
Excellent explanation and practical, i was interested to see the centre pipe furring up, mine has and had a steady drip from it. What's the answer to that problem please. 🤔
Would it be ok for me to only use these JG pipes and fittings on flow and return pipes all the way to a radiator valve or would I need to use copper pipes to connect to the valves?
