So hard to convey the terrain on these action cameras. Been digging out from under the last trip... This was a beautiful ride Larry !! Very cool views with the 360 ! Thank you for the mention. God Bless !!
Thanks Robert. I am still behind after my 18 days on the road so I know exactly how you feel. As always, I appreciate your support and comments. Ride Safe my friend.
Thanks Bryan and Holly. I was exhausted after the 18 day road trip and haven't put much effort into posting videos since my return. Guess it's time to get moving and get some editing done. I really appreciate all your support since the very beginning. You guys have always been there to push me along. Thanks for the kind comments my friends. Enjoy your week.
Nice Larry, would those be the Cape Ray Mountains? where the weather can change at any moment, when I went through with family it was a foggy day so not as stunning as this trip, thanks for sharing, been awhile since been through Cornerbrook, be nice to see area again.
Hello again my friend. The best I could tell, this is all part of the Long Range Mountains. Not sure if there are other names for some sections but there could be. The weather on the other hand can change quickly from beautiful to rain or fog. I captured that on video and will be posting as I go along. The view heading down into Cornerbrook is fantastic and I always look forward to seeing it. Thanks for watching and I hope you enjoy your weekend.
Hey there, hope your weekend is off to a good start. I have to agree with you about riding with others. I was lucky to ride with my two Brothers and Nephew. We had a great time and visited so many cool places. Much more to come. Thanks for checking in.
That was a great teaser for what's to come buddy........The camera doesn't do it justice of the scenery for sure........and the clouds puts a damper on things also I suppose...........can't wait to see the footage you have and looking forward to the excitement Larry........keep it coming buddy.
Thanks Bryan and Holly. If only, the camera could pick up the actual scenery as seen by our eyes. It was truly amazing and every minute of the ride was filled with amazing places to see and video. Now I am at the point where things get exciting and I am excited to share the footage. Should be fun for sure. Hang in there my friends and we will catch you on the next one. Enjoy your weekend.
Hey my friend, what's a ride without hitting some good pavement between potholes. lol. I think your trail ride on ATV was smoother! The trip was great and my next video will be getting into some awesome footage. I had better get cracking and get my editing done. Thanks for checking in. Cheers!
Hey brother , love to be back at it again. So many places we bypassed. You could do many more videos in places we skipped by because of the rain. Peter the old brother.
Hey there Brother Peter, as each trip ends, there are always places that we wish we had time to visit. Time, rain and fog sometimes forces us to change plans as we go. After 18 days on the road I can say, I had a fantastic time and was more than happy with the places we had time to visit. What began as a trip to create videos, quickly turned into awesome time spent with yourself, Mark and Cooper. All the videos in the world can't capture the fun times we had. It was a blast for sure. Talk soon.
Hey there RG, thanks for checking in and supporting the cause. Friends, family, bikes and Lets Ride! That's what it's all about. Lets get out there, have fun and share something positive with our fellow men. I read your words just about every day. "Here's to many miles of smiles". You see RG, your words travel and are noted! Have a great weekend my friend.
Howdy Larry, Does your Honda Goldwing have the quick start feature when you come to a stop? If it does do you like it? I enjoy watching your Newfoundland Adventure series and looking forward to the next one.
Hey my friend, hope you are doing well and I thank you for following along. Things will get a little more exciting in the next video as I head into Gros Morne National Park. We had a lot of fun there. The DCT model Goldwing comes with the Idle Stop feature which you can turn ON or OFF. My bike is the six speed manual model and it doesn't have the Idle Stop feature. Hope that helps. Have a fun weekend.
Yes Sir, The Boys of the Rock and at it again! Out there having a good time, enjoying the scenery and great Newfoundland food. Have to love it! Thanks for watching and I hope you have a fantastic weekend.
Happy Saturday Tom. Newfoundland is a hidden treasure and the best scenery is yet to come. Be sure to tune into the next video. It will be worth it! Take care my friend. Ride Safe and Enjoy.
Thanks Mac, this was a fantastic ride and the time spent with my Brothers and Nephew was so much fun. Like any trip, it had to end too quickly. Enjoy your weekend.
I'm trying to shorten mu video these days as well ,love the intro. The Corner Brook area is really scenic , cameras never do justice to elevation and wind on the water. Always love driving in that area , I was thinking that wasn't a good spot to stop and you put it on the video LOL. I couldn't really tell from the video as I only had your POV but you confirmed LOL. Looking forward to the sext video
Happy Saturday Garry, thanks for checking in for another video. Thanks for your kind words and I am always trying ways to improve my videos. In this video, we came to a stop closer to the TCH, than I would have liked. I didn't like the situation so decided to correct things and pull up to the pumps. Seeing this was not a safe position to put myself in, I decided to add it into the video to make others aware. We all make mistakes but it's up to us to correct things asap. The Cornerbrook location was scenic and I cold have spent more time there just looking around. Wish we had the time. Have a fantastic weekend.
Hey there Bob, hope you are doing well. Thanks for following along and joining in the comments. The next video will be a lot more exciting with lots to see for sure. Take care and enjoy your weekend.
Hey there, you are right about the rain suit. The sad part is, I had two good sets and didn't put either one on. We were hitting small showers all day long and figured this one would be the same. oops!, was I wrong! We did dry out and had a fantastic day of riding. Thanks for checking out the video and adding to the comments. Ride Safe my friend.
Thanks Pete, it sure was an awesome ride and I enjoyed making this short video. The first long video is half done and will be posted soon. Great to live it all over again.
Hi there my friend. Thanks for dropping in for another video. Your comments are appreciated. Now that I'm back from my trip it's also catch up time for me. Hope you have a great ending to your week as well.
A great start to the fantastic summer trip Larry and of course we all love seeing the "BOOBIES"..........awesome that you mentioned this.........the commentary is terrific as usual.......you have an interesting prespective on things and you do well in bringing out the best of your surrounding my friend..........been to that part of the island so many times lately and really getting to know it well.........a night on the ferry in a cabin is almost as good as a full on cruise ship feeling.........looking forward to trying out the new ferry which I believe you already did on your way back........is it better than the older ones in your opinion or much the same????...........an awesome start to your action backed summer adventure tour buddy............looking forward to all the rest of the trip and more of course............all the best my friend and thanks for sharing.
Good evening my friends. Thanks again for your support and awesome comment. My return trip from the island was on the new ferry. There was a long delay with little communication before we even left Argentia. I was on the floating container for 24 hours. The cabin was nice and I did get a good rest. The weather got bad about half way across and the ship was hitting hard at times. I sat in one of those recliner chairs to test it out. Lets say, I am glad I had a cabin. Nice ship but little to do while crossing. I would give her about 6 out of 10. The trip itself was a complete success and i have so much cool footage. Can't wait to edit it into videos. Enjoy the rest of your week.
Thanks Tom, I appreciate you following along. Funny things happen. I was just seconds away from clicking on your video and I got a notice for this comment. Awesome my friend.
Ya’ll have it all worked out. Well organized. A plan coming together nicely. Pro’s out there! Awesome areas & incredible people to share it with. Larry did you get that steering column bolt figured out to your satisfaction? Was that what is was? Did I miss that video?
Good evening RG, my friend. Thanks for your kind words and support for our channel. I us the word "our", because it's the input, views, comments, shares and ideas from viewers like yourself that keeps me out there on my bike creating videos. The trip to Newfoundland was a complete success and I owe it all to Peter, Mark and Cooper. Those guys went above and beyond to help me have a fun trip and capture the best video possible. My bike is all clean, fixed and ready for another adventure. The failure was a loose steering stem nut which I had the pleasure of fixing my self. The navigation issue was fixed with an "audio system reset", suggested to me by another subscriber. Wow, what an amazing community of people we have in out support system. I am working on a video about the failures and fixes and hope to complete it this weekend. You have not missed anything. Thanks again for all your support. Ride Safe and I hope to see you in video, at another cruiseman's breakfast soon. I wish Cruiseman and Robert White safe travels on their tour adventure.
Thanks RG, this was a fun video to edit. I have wanted to use that song for a long time and finally had a short clip I could use it with. Nothing better than riding bikes with my Brothers.
Hey friend, thanks for dropping in and sharing a comment. Yes, i think that was a Harley. The guy was on a mission to go somewhere and i sure wasn't going to get in his way! He had that thing cranked for sure. Enjoy your week.
Needed to have your wits about you when you got off the boat for the first part of the TCH ride. You have a great attitude, just relax and go along for the ride, get there when you get there, as long as you get there. Yeah Mae West mountains is a distinctive site when you're coming out of Port Aux Basque Yeah I'm always checking my pockets lol. Looking forward to the next episode my buddy, have a great week
Thanks again Garry, I really appreciate your support. I got lots of video, so now I will try to tell a story that makes sense. Things will begin to get more exciting as we head up into the park. I think you, most likely have been to several places that I will visit in this series. Hope you have a fantastic week.
@@goldwingmoments yeah even though I have been to these spots I always am interested in getting other point of view and my wife and I always say we learn new things about places to look for on our next visit.
Great video my friend, trying to play some catch up tonight. Must have been a challenge with the lose handle bars, luckily you know your way around lol. Meanwhile since I've got use to using the navigation system I like it on just to see where I'm at at times and see my speed. That was some heavy rain 🌧 you had there. Going to watch tonight's video now double feature night lol
Thanks Garry, the bike issues were a little upsetting but things happen. Like you, I mostly use the GPS to identify communities and roads up ahead. It makes video editing much easier if I can just mention areas without having to do voice overs later. The darn GPS system crashed just as I got into areas I didn't know. Thanks to Mark, Peter and Cooper everything worked out well. Then there was the rain and loose handlebars. A few miles and I was dry but the darn handlebars, that was another story. Since I got home, I have fixed the bike and will be doing a follow up video soon. Thanks for checking in my friend. I am also behind and have ween watching videos like crazy trying to catch up.
Thanks Kenny, as you know the island is a great place to visit and I can only hope to show some of it's beauty in my videos. Lots more to come my friend. Thanks for your support.
Hey Mike, I had a bluetooth device hooked up using Android Auto. It must have messed up the bike navigation. Thanks to a system reset in the audio system, that is now fixed. I will be also adding a video for that fix. Thanks for checking in.
Great video, thanks for sharing your adventure. I was able to see from the comments that you have resolved your issues. I look forward to the video where you show the solutions. Ride Safe!
Thanks my friend. I appreciate you taking the time to watch and comment. I do have all issues fixed now and will be posting a video on what I found and the fixes needed. I am so far behind on my fav channels and it's taking me time to catch up. Enjoy your week.
Dude no way I would’ve kept riding with those handlebars, if that nut had come loose wow. I know you were checking it and tightening by hand but without being able to put a wrench on it I’d have limped to the nearest shop…
There are times when we make decisions that are not the correct one. This was a good example of that. After 18 days on the road I took a chance that I should never have taken. As it turned out, all was good, but things could easily have gone wrong. Today I made the necessary repairs to my bike and all is good again. I have started an update video which will be out shortly. Thanks for checking out the video and leaving a comment.
Oh no!! Im glad you were able to handle the motorcycle safely! Thanks for sharing as something like that can happen to anyone at anytime. I know when I purchased my GW it came with with a hefty warranty. Hopefully your issues will be covered by Honda.
Hey there, thanks for checking in again. The handlebar issue sucks but I made it home safe, and that works for me. My bike is a 2021 and has no warranty left. When I returned home, I made a visit to my local dealer and they had nothing for me. There is no service letters on this issue and they have not seen it before. Surprise, surprise! Tomorrow I am planning to bring my bike to my work and have a better look at the situation. Being a Mechanic I have all the tools and service manual. Once I have a closer look I will see if I need to order parts or just torque up the stem nut. Either way, I will do a follow up video to talk about what I found. Thanks again and enjoy your weekend.
I’ve ridden my Goldwing from Michigan to North Sydney Novi Scotia. Took the Newfoundland fiery line to Newfoundland. Rode my Goodwing on Highway 1 around Newfoundland back in 2004. What a great trip.
Wow, that is a long ride. I like to hear this sort of story. Newfoundland has so much to offer but the roads need major repair. Thanks for visiting and leaving a comment. Have fun out there.
Looking forward to seeing the trip videos! Might be time for a taller windshield eh? I bought a Tulsa brand tall/tinted windshield for my 1500 right after I purchased it back in 2000, but it appears Tulsa is no longer around. I'm sure there are other good brands out there now though. Well worth the learning curve of a tall windshield though, because mine at least will keep me almost completely dry in a rainstorm. Drips a little on my leg but that's it.
Hey there my friend thanks for checking out the video and sharing that information. Like you say, there are taller windshields in all shapes. In this video I never mentioned that the windshield was actually down for a couple of other reasons. Now that you mentioned it, I will put together a video and talk about it a little. I am happy you mentioned it and I have thought about making a video in the past but I never had weather conditions to explain what was going on. Thanks again and enjoy the rest of your week.
My friend you got that right. We got wet several times but we did dry out. That's sll part of what we do. Loose handlebars... yes, that was not expected!. Thanks for watching. Enjoy your day.
Hey my friend, thanks for checking in. I am behind on my channels since I got back but will get up to speed soon. The weather was mostly hot so we were not wet for long. It never took long to dry off. In some ways it was actually fun. There will be more on that in videos to come. Ride Safe.
