Very clean installation, Larry. I like the camera locations. Stay safe.

Hey there, thanks for your support and comments. I am happy with the system and can use it to capture other events on the road while my video cameras are not turned on. That's a bonus. Enjoy your day and ride safe.

Nice clean installation Larry, especially in the back! I mounted my front right in the middle hoping the bike never dives down low enough to hit it. And mounted the rear on the bottom of the top case, all works great from me and I love my Venture F1 also. I caught a road runner crossing the road down in south Texas this winter, and a coyote woke me up that same night! Must have been Wile E.!! Thanks for sharing!

Thanks for checking out the video Jim. I appreciate you leaving a nice comment and also sharing your camera mounting locations with us. As a group, we can help others with their camera options and install ideas. I thought about installing my camera in the center but couldn't find any information about dive travel. My next trip will take me over some bad roads so i played it a little on the safe side. Capturing birds and animals crossing the road is also fun, especially if you capture all the main cartoon characters. lol. Have fun out there and Ride Safe.

@@goldwingmoments My pleasure Larry! Oh yea, I forgot to mention that I installed the main unit in the top case behind those 2 OEM rubbers bands. It makes it easy to access the micro SD card! ;-)

@@jimmytad , that's great information. You are the first to mention that location and it should work well. No need to remove the seat. I like it.

The Vantrue F1 looks Formula One Larry. Excellent perspectives from the saddle. Great to know the installation is reasonable. The product looks high quality too. You are now set for good additional on-road documentation. Nice job!

Road Glide my friend. Once again thanks for your great comment and support. The Vantrue F1 system is built to high standards. The install is reasonable depending on how you place your cameras. Our friend Robert White Moto also has this system installed and posted a fantastic video. I feel this is an accessory well worth the $. Have a fantastic day and enjoy the ride.

Keep your head on a swivel Larry and stay safe my friend... Love my F1 dash cam. That's a good looking trailer !! My daughter lives on the other side of that lake, in Erie PA.

Thanks Robert. When I filmed the video I actually pointed across the lake and said your Sister lived over there but I couldn't see her from where I was. In editing I figured I should cut that part out because I don't actually know your Sister. Never know when I will take a ride around the lake. I took a trip around there in a car many years ago. Ride safe my friend.

Hey Bryan my old buddy, thanks for dropping in for another video. It's always a pleasure to read your comments. So far I am extremely happy with the Vantrue dash cam system. It wasn't that hard to install and works great. The Vantrue Nexus 4 Pro, is now installed in my car and being tested. I would expect the same sort of results from that cam system. Several videos have already been captured. Atlantic Tour is getting close. Getting excited now.

Hi there my friend. The dash cam system works great and I would recommend it for sure. I have captured other events over the last few weeks and may save them up for a separate video. Ride safe and have fun out there.

Hey Kenny, you should have seen the drivers eyes. The guy looked straight at me in a state of confusion and seemed like he had no idea what to do next. Wish I had my 360 camera turned on at the time. We always miss the great video shots. The ride with Jeff ended well and I did get a large ice cream. It's always worth the ride. Have a fantastic day and thanks for tuning in and supporting the channel.

Hi Larry, this is a great review. I’ve been thinking about a dash cam. This helps. Ride safely!
@goldwingmoments
@goldwingmoments Месяц назад
Thanks Tom. As you can see, there are many options for camera placement and each affects the ability to run your wiring. Once the system is installed, you just forget about it and let it do it's thing. The control switch is close if you decide to save an event, and it's so easy to use. Our friend Robert White posted a great video and I think i also watched a cruiseman video. Their videos will also give you more options. I appreciate your views, comments and support. Ride Safe my friend.

Nice review. Installation looks easy. I'm going to get one. I have dashcams in the cars (btw, they are super helpful with insurance claims. I submitted a video to the other guys insurance and they accepted full liability and had my check in a few days). Ride safe bro.

Great job on the install!! Now is the "test of time" phase for the dashcam. I am curious about your thought between having the dash cam vs the 360 cam as maybe the 360 might of picked up more of that car merging into your lane?
@goldwingmoments
@goldwingmoments Месяц назад
Hey my friend, I read your comment earlier this evening and figured I would think about it for some time before I commented back. It's possible to secure a 360 camera and set it to video in loop. You would have to turn it on and off each time you ride. It would also create a large amount of files to download and they are not time stamped like the dash cam. My 360 has overheated several times on hot days and shut down. The 360 angle would cover more area for sure. My thinking is as follows: The dash cam turns on and off without you having to worry about it. The time stamps are easy to figure out. Less chance of someone walking away with your dash cams because they are mounted secure and harder to see on your bike due to their small size. The event button can be used to capture an event and that video is stored in a file that won't be overwritten. The last thing is that we don't vlog or shoot videos every time we go for a ride so there may not even be a 360 cam hooked up. Just me rambling on. Guess there is no correct answer. Both systems could works depending on how you want to save your video files. Great comment and well worth more thought. Thanks and enjoy your week.

@@goldwingmoments Thank you for your reply!! Your insight was very helpful as I am currently having issues w/ my gopro overheating and I have also had a couple batteries "swell" recently which is a bit scary.... I might just have to go for a 360 cam and possible 1 dashcam. Possibly ditching the helmet cam all together. Thank you once again for your input!!!!
