My Vintage Love is a collaboration between husband and wife team, Michelle Coursey and Matthew Karl Gale, who met while doing what they love most- attending vintage events and collecting vintage clothing. In our videos we take our viewers along with us to some of our favorite vintage events in NYC and around the world- featuring vintage music, dancing, shopping and lifestyle. We also feature beauty tutorials where Michelle combines her knowledge as a makeup artist with her love of vintage, and take an in-depth look at makeup and hairstyles from the early 20th century (and before!). We aim to upload a new video at least every two weeks. Thank you for watching and commenting! A lot of love and time goes into every video, and we are happy to share our love of vintage with all of our viewers!
I used to work in the opera, where they used Ben Nye pancake makeup. They did not use sea sponges or that much water. You’re best to use a regular sponge because it has more surface area and it’s the same texture… I feel like you make this more difficult than it needs to be.
I really enjoyed this very much! I love the 20s style and make-up. Colleen looks amazing and it suits her so well. My eyes are horrible with upward eyeliner. The 1950s don’t compliment me. I adore the dramatic smokiness of eyes in the 20s! Such a bold and adventurous look! I find watching and listening to Colleen such a breath of fresh air in a very dull human world! 👏❤️
Love your videos. They have improved over the years. Unusual song selection for vaudeville content and a bit too loud at times, rather irritating. Yes, I am a musician.
Thank you, I’m so glad you are loving the videos. They have definitely improved over time. This was one of our earlier ones before we had a better handle on song choice and volume; I’m sure we would make different choices now. Thanks for watching and commenting!
Oh wow, what a compliment! I'm so glad you've enjoyed the videos so much and I hope you continue to enjoy them! We will do our best to keep posting new videos!
Back in the days of night clubs women swore by pancake it took making up a longer process tho . That and cake mascara is gone forever few ppl spend that much time in front of the mirror as this is the microwave era
Happy Easter 5o you and Baby James? Has he gotten a lace christening gown yet? And just how protective is Lady Cookie? And I'm imaging lots of vintage baby clothes vlogs. Glad all is healthy
Your baby is beautiful, you both look wonderful. I’m amazed at your resourcefulness in getting that buggy on the train. So happy for you both. God bless your family.
@@inezguzman3130 Thank you so much! We got lucky getting the prom on the train because there were elevators at both stations we used. Otherwise I don’t know if we would have made it!
This is incredible, I didn't know NYC did this. These woman are far more attractive and appealing than the girls we see today. I love the styles seen here!
Finally someone who nailed the 80s blush placement! We used to suck in our cheeks and color the undersides. I still miss my FlameGlo kohl liner!! Love your channel. Thanks for the memory.
Really pretty. I’ve worn pancake makeup for a few months continually and I found that if you have acne prone skin, you really should stay away from pancake makeup. It clogs pores a lot more than a liquid or cream foundation. If you’re really into pancake makeup, I suggest that you stick to a makeup remover and exfoliator, cleanser routine religiously every night to minimize the breakouts.
Ahh that explains why I could never find any suitable color foundation for me when I was young. I’m olive undertone. Mercifully my skin was clear most of the time.
Congratulations! 😘 I am so happy for you both, becoming a little family! 👶🏼🧢🍼🥣🧸💙 Take good care of yourself, hope everything is going good and can’t wait to see your beautiful baby boy!
I am new here but still so excited for you both!!!! I wish nothing but the best! Congrats on this wonderful journey, I can’t wait to see the baby and how wonderful your family will grow!♥️👏🏻🫶🏻
Delighted for you, congratulations. Family first and all that, will wait with patience for your forthcoming videos. How exciting let the baby chaos ensue.
