Good description but it’s not that simple, it rlly does matter what amp, how many subs and how much air space your working with. Sometimes that sealed will have a bigger thump sometimes it won’t sound as clear
I like the boomier sound of ported but I switch between both alot of times. After listening to music with a ported sub for long enough after a while I get sick of it so I stuff the port to get that cleaner thump without the extra boom. Then after a few months I unstuff the port.
I prefer my 2 American bass XD 15s in a vented box tuned to 34 and a 1000 watt alpine v12 @ 2 ohms in my 2 door jimmy no replacement for displacement ❤
He said that subs will handle anything you throw at it and some lol ... I should have know not to listen to anytjing this guy says once he called the soft parts dampners.
In a 22 chevy silverado with the bosse system do you run something in between this amp and oem amp such as a line converter or would you run the line level off the oem straight into this AD amp? Just subscribed keep the videos coming man .
Sadly no, the data that the car uses to communicate is incredibly hard to replicate/integrate into. Idata Maestro is a very well known company for their ability to integrate into many vehicles keeping and providing more information than there was available with the stock radio. but if the information shows up in the cluster area as well it will still show up on that screen but not the radios screen, kind of like my vw golf r. The sport mode and so forth was on my factory screen and my cluster, since they don't make a piece for my car i lost the radio side for information but still had the information on my cluster. Though after a few "sodas" and a day or two of messing around in my vehicle i got maestro to work in my car so do with that what you will.
Hello can you describe in detail the connection of the 3 LGDs from Bose amp to DSP What do you mean you’re only using one input for DSP? I have 2024 sierra and only 2 channels got signal but I’m not using LGDs. I love that you did with that truck and I just hope you can help me out with this . Thanks in advanced
We break the connection from factory amp to speaker, put the audio control piece on the amp side of the wire, now the other side (that leads to the speaker) you run to the aftermarket amplifier output. We only needed the one input because it was full range, so no need for channel summing. The DSP can take one signal input (Left & Right) and distribute to X amount of channels so keep things simple. If he wanted fade & balance then yes we would want more inputs. You will 100% need to put some kind of load resistor on the factory amps out puts to maintain proper functionality, if not you will freak out the factory amp.
This is so awesome ty for the info…. What’s your thoughts on installing the GM kickers /amp set up into the truck? I have a 2023 1500 high country and I paid to have the, sold by GM 12” kicker / amp kit. Had dealer install. And the purchased the bass knob as most people said it was needed. And for $1,000 dealer addon I am highly in impressed. You have next to no bass until the volume level is set to about 80% then the base sounds decent.
I mean no disrespect in any way shape or form when I answer this. I'm not a big fan of the factory "Kicker upgrade" To get more sub output, you really need a lot more than 200 watts. It sounds good on paper. But, in real life, it just doesn't cut it for me. There are many companies that make vehicle specific boxes for that truck. I, personally, wouldn't put less than 600 watts of real power on any sub you put in that truck. Any thing less that that would just struggle to keep up with what you already have. The whole point in putting in aftermarket subs in there is to get a lot more output.
Would have been sweet to see the front cluster removal since that doesn't exist on RU-vid. If you have that footage, might be worth uploading it with that title considering no one else has
I have used them all. I like Spotify the most through my hi-fi audio system. It sounds smoother which is probably a result of compression, but it is pleasing without losing important details in the music. It also has the largest library out there. I can find anything I want on there unlike on Tidal.
I believe differential rear fill is proprietary to Helix/Audiotec Fischer dsps. To really answer your question I need to look at the owner's manual, but I don't see that available on Audio Dynamics website. Hopefully they will answer your question.
