I know you have the whole African theme and I see that a lot a lot a lot I get suggestions because I have two of the leopard bush fish but they do not get along like yours you are very lucky one is in a 60 gallon one is in a 40 gallon if anybody here or you! could help a little bit seems like your two are getting along without the whole African theme Congo tetras bottom feeders etc. then normal ones again mentioned EBA's etc... Ghost knife fish's bichirs etc What are good tank mates for THIS amazing fish? We have two of them and I really don’t want to get rid of them but it’s come to the facts and point that if we can’t find the right fish then we’re literally having a 60 gallon and a 40 gallon tank with one fish and some bottom feeders it’s truly a waste lotta good potential if that makes sense for any help and suggestions are much appreciated!
It's okay for fish to nip at other fish. Alot of the time it's just to communicate dominance. Hierarchies in tanks always will need to be established. Just make sure that you don't put anything too small that can fit in the Leopard Bushfish's mouth. Also remember that the mouth expands bigger than what you see. As for them being paired in the tank. Both mine were removed later from this setup. Both because eventually they couldn't get along anymore while getting bigger, and the setup was coming down because I was moving to a smaller place.
@@phantomaquarist3417 Okkk... Yeaaa he's ate my Harlequin Rasbora's Molly and guppies..... That mouth is way bigger than you think!! I see your setup now... Any suggestions for tank mates that you found worked out well and also new ones since you moved the other one? Thanks for your help with this!!
Some Congo tetras do have natural blue hues. I think because I had LED lighting to help with plant growth in the tank It was maybe over dramatizing it more.
It's possible that it's a croc vertebrae. It's one of the few I got outside of Jurassic dreams sales. So I didn't have an official vertebrae paleontologist look at it before being bought. I did ask Juan who seems to be the owner and main paleontologist on site. He said it's a strong possibility that it is one. And then he sent me some pictures of the spinosaurus vertebrae he had that looked like it. 😀
Nope that one's definitely a spinosaurus toe bone. I have more of them now. They all have been certified by Juan Pablador the paleontologist at Jurassic dreams. They also come with certificates of authenticity if you ask. Every piece of my collection has one. 😀
have bought from imperial tropicals before - not the best quality fish, but they are very nice people that will refund/replace fish without hesitation.
Do you have any better suggestions for getting cichlids? I lucked out finding this video because I was just about to order this same fish from the same company lol
Unfortunately the seller is no longer on eBay. It looks like they deleted their account. They may have a new one but I wouldn't know what it is unfortunately. 😀
@@mattwright7427 unfortunately the female ate all of the babies. And then the male died two weeks later. So I was never able to produce the offspring after this video. These fish are unfortunately very hard to come by and very delicate health-wise. 😟
Phantom Aquarist I found some they are very small right now so idk if they’re males or females but I got 4 for 20 bucks at my LFS thanks anyway I appreciate it.
This video unfortunately was from a long time ago so I no longer have them. I went through a major move and lost a lot of the animals due to not having enough room in the new house for all of the aquariums. But at the time of this video they were about 2 years old
The red stuff on your rocks, does it feel little slimy? Because I’m trying to figure out what the red stuff on my live rocks are and they look exactly like yours.
Hello my friend, that one spotted earth eater is not a demon geo, it's called satanoperca leucosticta a type of jupuri. I know because I have a nice set that is wild caught.
@@bigcathunters5901 There is a freshwater fish commonly referred to as 'red tail baracuda' even though it isn't a true barracuda. That been said I think the fish their comment refers to is actually a pink tail chalceus anyway.
Wow what a beautiful variety of fish from the leopard ctenopomma to Congo tetra to the knifefish the farlowella the synodontis the chalceus and the Senegal bichir just so much variety and unique fish in one tank I love the African theme and I definitely think you did it very well. If you want to see the leopard ctenopommas at full grown check out my “updated 55g tank” playlist and you’ll see a 6 inch ctenopomma along with some Congo tetras a synodontis and a Senegal bichir too! I definitely love the oddball fish like it seems you do and the variety of fish in Africa is perfect for people like us! A+ on the tank and the aquascape and definitely check out my page to see a full grown ctenopomma!
how old are you? Nice fish btw! I'm raising fish for FFA. I'm getting two convicts, a breeding pair, and six black and gold Chiclid fry, as well as several guppies.
Reazul Islam no sump in yet. also its a 55 gal aquarium I can't remember off the top of my head what the dimensions are for a 55 gal. but back to the sump there will be a custom sump put in the bottom of my tank
