I have only just discovered Grass Roots after hearing I'd Wait A Million Years on an instagram countdown of 1000 top songs. Never heard of them before (maybe as I am Australian). Fell in love immediately with the band (noting im 55 and it's 2024) So a great new discovery. I am now obsessed with them...love the short take of I'd Wait a Million Years......
@user-wj3jg9sz2u No, it's actually one of the show's regulars, singer Tina Mason. The real Renee was Renee Fladen Kamm, shown on this site: alchetron.com/Ren%C3%A9e-Fladen-Kamm

It is 35 years ago today that I met the love of my life. I lost her 18 months later to another. She broke my heart like no other. This song brings out my feelings for her and the pain of losing her. I miss you Mary Dietrich (Rempel).😢
Rob was one of the good people in the music business, as well as an incredibly underrated, self-deprecating talent who didn't just have the ability to create top 40/pop hits, but knew how to interpret them with a rock edge--which is what made the Grass Roots appeal to such a wide audience. I also remember Rob being accessible to the audience after a live performance, and willing to speak with any fans who wanted to come up and say hello.
I heard this on the radio and it’s just mesmerizing, I couldn’t stop listening and I tried to find the name of the song and finally found it! I’m not disappointed at all :)
