Thank you thank you for posting. I saw this tour and I was completely blown away about how powerful he was! And now I can re-live it!

Thanks for posting these videos Chris! We saw the Happy Together Tour a few weeks ago. I took a few videos too but it was outside and there was a lot of sun glare in the videos. I still posted them. All the groups were great!

Thanks Ron! I will have to check out your vids. I wasn't able to film any of the others because of the view (even tho we were in the 2nd row, we were all the way at the side end) and also the light glare was bad. Wish I could have gotten Ron Dante and the Cowsills! They were fantasic!

I love how the tension builds during the 1st minute, 20 seconds. It would be so cool if Danny, Chuck, Michael & Floyd reunited for a few shows-- at least in tribute to Jimmy, Joe & Cory. Chuck proves he's still got the power-- I think he and Dennis Provisor are two of the most powerful and soulful singers of this genre (but that's just my opinion). Thank you so much for this video, Chris.

@shane griffith You're welcome, Shane. Sad that a reunion will never happen. Chuck has cancelled tour dates and along with Mark Lindsay, has backed out of the Happy Together Tour this year... that was originally scheduled for 2020. Both cite health reasons. Chuck has had emphysema and COPD for years and needs oxygen onstage in order to perform. (The cord you see from under his jacket is actually oxygen feeding in through his glasses... www.chucknegron.com/shop/bio/oxyview-oxygen-therapy-glasses/). Thankfully, there are so many videos to enjoy from years gone by!

@@60s70sVintageRock Wow, I knew Chuck was ailing but I had no clue it was THAT serious! He truly loves what he's doing to keep going like that. Thanks for the link-- those "Oxyviews" are pure genius! Hope Mark's health problems aren't too serious...but YES, thankfully you've been out there filming these fantastic shows for years for the world to enjoy and should be compensating you for! Chris-- I have to ask this: Who is the one band or performer, living or dead, that you would like to video the most (one you haven't ever filmed before)? I'm really curious...

@@SkeltonKnaggsLives Oh, when I said 'so many videos to enjoy' I meant on RU-vid in general, not mine. :) But thanks! I can't get compensated anyway because I don't own any material. In fact, I've been 'flagged' for copyright infringement quite a few times and almost lost both my channels. (Three strikes in six months, you're gone!) Posting clips from major tv shows is a big NO-NO, and certain artists will not allow you to post audience videos (ex: Roger Hodgson, Supertramp). ~ You asked who I would've liked to video? That's a tough one! I'd have to go back 40+ years to concerts I wish I'd been at. I would've loved to seen/filmed ELP. I had some bootleg ELP videos on my Chicago channel, and those got pulled by YT (actually the claimant was Keith Emerson, which made me sad). I was lucky to see and film Greg Lake solo in 2012, before he passed. Another band would be Pink Floyd, with both Roger Waters and David Gilmour. Honestly, I wish I could go back in time to video all the artists I've captured in the last decade... in their heyday of the 60's & 70's!

@@60s70sVintageRock I bet all the legal issues you have to be aware of can drive you insane at times. But the videos you have posted are pure diamonds-- the best escape back to 'yesterday' anyone could hope for, far away from today's absolute confusion & ugliness. Your 2 choices are groovy! Never saw Pink Floyd-- my Uncle planned to get tickets for us in Philly ('76 or'77), but the prices were CRAZY HIGH. Figured we could go to 9 or 10 other concerts for THAT price alone. I was in high school at the time and friends were bummed out at the expense (although a few did go and OF COURSE said it was the greatest show they ever saw!!). On the night of the Floyd concert, we were in Lancaster at a 1910 Fruitgum Company show, and they were excellent! We got to see ELP in '72 (Trenton?), and I really didn't care for the music (too much prog for a puny 12 yr. old), although "Lucky Man" & "Tank" were cool. No opening act. I recall Carl appeared after the show talking to people, signing autographs, joking around, then 10 min. later Greg came out and joined him (Keith never appeared). They both laughed uncontrollably at a little girl's impersonation of Alice Cooper getting his head stuck in his guillotine. I wish I could've seen them 'live' again after "Brain Salad Surgery" was released a year later, really dug that LP. Around this time, we saw Bobby Sherman at the same venue about 4 days later, one of the BEST shows I ever saw!! (...yeah, there aren't that many 'comments' that go from ELP straight into Bobby Sherman!). Thanks again for all you do for us, Chris.

I think Supertramp was better AFTER the Hodgson era, anyway!

Thank you for posting! Is he wearing an oxygen tube in this video?
@60s70sVintageRock
@60s70sVintageRock 7 лет назад
You're welcome! Yes, that's his oxygen... he has to wear it all the time when performing. Here's an article that was posted on his FB fan page about how it works! 117group.com/chuck-negron-dons-a-revolutionary-accessory/

@Bella Bella Chuck's needing oxygen has little to do with his age. He suffers from COPD and emphysema... which is the result of his many years of smoking, drinking and drug abuse. Also, he recently turned 78.
