No one will ever beat Olly Dobson in the role of Marty in the musical. He was the original and best. Most natural resemblance to Michael J Fox, voice impression was the best too. Thankful I saw him in the West End.
After seeing U2 at the Sphere, this should be the first play and first musical to hit the Sphere. It would be even more amazing, If such a thing is possible
Saw this on Sunday. It was good. Didnt care for the "creative liberties" they took with the original movie script. Instead of Doc getting shot, he spills Uranium on himself? Are you people *that* fragile now? Do you close your eyes during that movie scene? Smh. Plus the actor playing him didnt have that original Doc vibe. Very off. Oh, They race swapped Marty's girlfriend with a person of coIor for some reason. You know...for "inclusion". Anyone who pretends not to have a problem with that, how would you react if they made Goldie Wilson's role with a white actor? Exactly. Despite the unnecessary pandering and left wing layer of bubble wrap, I enjoyed this. The actors who played George, Marty and Biff were spot on. Worth the night out. One word of advice... DONT BUY THEIR CONCESSIONS! $$$$$$$$$$$$
Wow what a magical experience. I'm from the UK and was in New York on Holiday last week, whilst I was there my Daughter and I wanted to see a Broadway show, we both love Back to the Future so the obvious choice. I didn't know what to expect or how they were going to achieve and capture all aspects of the movie, they did in a big way. It was absolutely amazing, what an experience we had, the actors performance was exceptional, capturing the characters and putting their own spin on it. Well done to all of you and thank you for such a memorable experience. I want to see the UK version to compare, big shoes to fill here, honesty can't see them beating the Broadway version.
This West End production is actually the original, it started 3 years ago in London. Broadway only recently took it on. West End are already on their third cast. The actors in this trailer were the original. Olly Dobson as Marty was legendary and Hugh Coles was incredible as George. Highly recommended show.
