Hi Just a small doubt, When we start a new round, why do we have to do 3 chains as a double crochet? Why not do a double crochet itself? I'm also using a variegated yarn and the pattern is absolutely beautiful, but just had this doubt
Thank you so much for the video! Your scrunchy looks lovely. I’m excited to know I can make scrunchies out of the same cotton yarn I use for my tops so they can coordinate 💕🌈
I have just started this pattern about 2 hrs ago and im almost done with my first square! So far its coming out so very cute, simple and works up pretty fast. Thank you, ill be looking forward to seeing what other patterns you have
i was hoping to make my bag strap as long as yours, but i couldnt figure it out with just trial and error.. would you mind please letting us know how many inches your bag strap measured out to be?
Hi. I’m using a #3 yarn so, I’m going to need more than 10 rows. Will you please tell me how big the squares are? How many inches across? Thanks so much.
I dont know if you reply to comments if you do can you advise please? Trying to make a cat bed with large circle base am up to sc 16, sc2 in next stitch, repeat. Looking at it Im going to come to a point where the whole row is just sc and the base not be large enough? When I get to that point do I start with 1st row of sc into each stitch etc 🤔
Once you have the base the size you want, you can just do sc crochets without increasing. This will make the sides go up. I recommend that you do the first round in the backloops only which will make a more distinct edge to the sides...
@@MrsStewartCCthank you for prompt reply but what I meant was, the circle doesn't seem to be growing and I'm at sc16, 2dc in next stitch. Do I just have faith lol and keep going because the circle is only half the size I need it to be?
@@SandraJane-bd8im it should get bigger. Note that it is sc and 2sc. The trouble with sc is the slowness You could do the circle in hdc or dc to make it faster but it wpuld be less toght
Thank you, thank you, thank you! You made this SO easy to understand. I appreciate that you're explaining why you're doing what you're doing. I attempted 4 different tutorials, 4 trial and screw ups. Lol. Yours is the best by far. 😊
Thank you so much for this tutorial. I love making bags, but I dreaded making the handles. Now I can make as many bags as I want with a sturdy handle like this ❤
Very clear tutorial but… Quick question, is it possible to do this exact same stitch while changing colors every 2 rows to make a colorful stripes effect? If so, how would you do it? (Can you make a video about it/ reply to this comment on how?)
I am not entirely sure....you could add a second colour and carry it/pick up every other row. I would not cut and add each time. I will give it a whirl and see how it works
great tutorial! I love your commentary and this was so helpful. I made the origami bag by viv crochets and used this to make a sturdy strap. thank you for the help!
You explained it really well and am almost done with mine! But as a beginner am a little confused bout the sewing part.Do we hve to just continue sewing the the first two squares cut the yarn and then join the bottom square with the third square or do we just not cut it and continue sewing the bottom and third square? I am really srry if this is confusing I just dont know how to explain lol
Good question. Don't cut the yarn if you don't have to. Keep going. I really just "did it". Just fold the squares into triangles and do the best you can. I made this video a year ago and I wish in retrospect I showed the sewing better. I was new to filming. It might help to just stitch markers to hold the edges together...
Hi Mrs Stawart You are making amazing videos! You must make good. But there are some problems in your videos that I found out analyzing your RU-vid Channel .Do you want to talk about it for a while?
In the process of making this bag! Can't wait to see how it turns out. I am looking for various projects to make and sell. Would I be able to use your patterns to make items and sell them as long as I give you credit?
