Yes you can but go down in hook size. Your project will be smaller if that is the case

How stiff is the cotton yarn?? I have a variety of cotton yarns I could use, some some soft and others not. What would be best?

The brand I use is fairly soft but I bet it would be fine with a stiffer yarn? I am sure it would soften up with use too. I am not sure what the right answer is....try it and let me know!

Hi I used a 5mm hook. You can use thinner yarn but it would come out smaller. If you use a thinner yarn you will need to go down in hook size
